I love Dolly Parton and wanted to try her banana cake mix, but they're so hard to find locally. Was excited to find this, though it was overpriced. You get the cake mix and frosting too.I was seriously disappointed when I opened it and the box was completely crushed, like someone ran it over. Didn't affect the taste, but if you're looking for it as a collector's item, it comes destroyed. It tasted delicious when we made it though. Even the kids liked it. Only knocked stars off for the crushed box.

My cake mix was old and almost expired. 2 weeks from expire date. Would it hurt you or make you sick to use a cake mix that is expired or close to it? No, it would not. But, we all know old cake mix bakes flat and ugly and does not rise correctly. This was a cake I planned to make for a party. The frosting that came with it was gross and had oily stuff in it. For the ridiculously high price of this item, I want a fresh mix and frosting.

I love Dolly. Doesn’t everyone? Saw these dessert mixes on cbs mornings and bought the banana one. It is seriously awful! Tastes artificial and I made it like it said (the fancy way) my kids who are usually hog wild over desserts would not touch it. They said it smelled funny like old bananas and I ended up throwing it out.
