An Oddball but Satisfying Romance
A delightful but sometimes puzzling treo of characters, two guys and a girl, whose interactions are warm, romantic, quite normal in their dating patterns, but somehow slightly askew. Who is really doing what with whom? And there is some mystery about the girl lurking in the background. But never fear, these relationships move to a surprising but welcome rush to closure in the waning minutes of the story. No tears, just a heartful "WOW" as the threads are unraveled. A great favorite.

cute one
A greasy haired skinny guy who wears his shirts too little is trying to be a writer. He finally gives up on the day he meets the girl of his dreams. The minute he leaves another guy asks the same girl out. We watch the dates. We also hear from the girl's uncle that she needs to move on and start dating again, hence the two guys. But when you see her cuddling and getting cozy with both you (or rather I) started screaming out loud to the TV: "What IS this girl doing?" as well as a few names hurled her way. Well . . . there is a big surprise twist at the end that even I didn't see coming. But the big reveal as to why she chose the one guy over the other? That was a big "HUH?!" For that reason along with it being set in SLC I assumed this is a Mormon movie. Just kinda over the top reason to flee over in my opinion. Why was Milano cast? She did OK but she seemed older and wiser than the guy. Not a good fit. And those icky tattoos on her neck . . . not very wholesome, not to mention that oily face she always has and that mouth thing she does when she talks. Anyway this movie isn't one of those movies filled with beautiful people is my point. It is the story line that held me.

Loved it - and finally GOT it :)
So I really enjoyed this charming story! I'm watching this sweet girl Jesse be courted by two young men who both have honorable intentions. And, by the way, I was not angst-ridden about any two-timing on her part, unlike some reviewers -- that's how it was done in the "old days" ... a young lady let herself be courted, wooed, and you kept it above the waist until your chosen intended put a ring on it.But who would our romantically fearless heroine choose? Sweet Ethan - who wore his heart on his sleeve and was a professional work in progress? Or Troy - handsome, suave, master of the romantic gesture and the witty repartee, and very successful ... Though I must say, his not saying the "L" word or the "M" word put him in second place in my book :o)Now, mind you, I've seen this film now several times ... and by Viewing #8 I'm starting to think through the last 5 minutes ... which I blush to admit I just figured out 5 seconds ago, and had confirmation of by another spoiler-alert reviewer here :o)...[SPOILER ALERT]...So I'm looking at the lines in Ethan's book and I'm thinking, Okay, one of two things is possible here: either Troy exists only in the pages of Ethan's book ... or Ethan's a stalker and YOU BETTER RUN, GIRL!!Thank GOD it's Scenario #1 because I'm a Chris Gorham fan, love him on Covert Affairs [and Ugly Betty], and I'm not really trying to get myself upset over a lovely little rom-com.Charming film, clever ending, and renewed my faith in the joys of courtship.Enjoy!

Such Mixed Reviews
It's amazing how we all perceive things differently. There are some really negative reviews of this movie, but I actually thought it was very good. I've seen a few of these 'Hallmark' type of movies, and MGB is one of the better ones. Alyssa Milano does a good job here, and Christopher Gorham does a particularly good job. Maybe because I don't watch these sort of films too often, I didn't see the twist coming, so I liked it. Although I didn't really get the second to last scene, it didn't hurt the film overall. It just left me scratching my head a little bit. With a big budget, A-list actors (because that's the way Hollywood works), and a well–known director, this could be a reimagined big hit.

You HAVE to rent this one!
Ok, I wanted to watch a movie with my girls that would be sweet, romantic but also clean. That is HARD to find. And they hate "old movies". I read the reviews of this and gave it a shot. We were not disappointed. Yes, it is a little low-budget, but that is not distracting. It still has good actors, even if a few small rolls are not oscar-worthy. When it was over, my girls just could NOT stop raving. They claim it is the best movie they have ever seen. A bit of a stretch, for sure, but we LOVED it. Really really darling. And yes, totally clean. HURRAH!!

Who is real & who isn't. If you hang in there till the end you'll get the happy ending you want.
I really started to hate this movie half way through & almost stopped watching it. Near the end there is a reveal that changes everything you thought was real about the movie. There is a happy ending for everyone.I thought they took too long to let the viewer in on what was really going on. This might be more enjoyable to watch after knowing what's really going on !

Promte Lieferung in gutem Zustand.

witzige Komödie
My Girlfriend's Boyfriend Eine lustige und gleichzeitig romantische Komödie. My Girlfriend's Boyfriend

Ein Entscheidung muss her. Alyssa Milano in ihrer besten Rolle.

A me è piaciuto!
