Chose this book on recommendation of a friend. Good information and great instructions. Lots of different ideas to use. A great resource with lots of pictures!

I have just heard of rope bowls, and I liked the idea. I took a class and made an oval bowl. I found this book and found it very interesting and a great learning tool. I plan on getting some cotton rope and make another bowl. lots of pictures and great easy instructions to follow. You can also find the videos online.Reasonably price and very nice projects. I love the idea of dying the rope or splattering it with paint. shows you how to wrap fabric around the rope to make a fabric rope bowl. Very nice book of instruction.

I do machine embroidery and made two rope baskets years ago by hand. They came out well, but doing them by machine and embroidering a design (if you want to) is so much easier. I have made one basket with my sewing machine and it turned out great and is so much faster and easier than by hand. I plan to make more, with handles this time. This book has designs and illustrations and great ideas. I really found it inspiring.

This book has a great selection of rope bowl style, nice photography, and well written instructions. It also recommends rope specifications and explains why some ropes are better for the task. Worth the money if you are wanting to learn how to design rope projects.

As a novice rope bowl sewer, the beginning of the book was very helpful in explaining types of rope & uses as well as thread & needle explanations. Very helpful pictures made sure I understood the descriptions.

A lot of thought was put into this book. Layout, tutorials, projects and pictures. All well explained. Tutorial will refer and connect with project and vise versa. Excellent how-to and not-do. And of course some excellent projects to try. Very well thought-out book and worth purchasing for reference.

A very informative book containing several different projects.. I am new to this type of sewing but have made many bags etc and aim to work through the book . I found it very detailed so should be ok. Very good value for money and thicker than I expected.

Explanations were clear but overall too repetitive.

I sat down with this book and read it cover to cover. I was able to then sew 2 baskets with very few problems. The instructions are clear and the information is invaluable.
