Overly complicated when it doesn't need to be
I'll start with the things I did like:- The easy presentation of the embroidery floss made this product for me. I've purchased cross stitch kits before, and the thread was often just jumbled together in a knotted mess. These are neatly and orderly attached to a piece of cardboard, and labelled intuitively.-The end result really is gorgeous. And that's about it. Things I didn't like:-The pattern is much more difficult than it needs to be. Whomever wrote it had either never cross stitched before, or was using some weird method I've never seen.-The aida cloth is just cheap. It looks cheap, it feels cheap, and it falls apart while you're working on it. I ended up using some of my own after only an hour of working on this. This solved the cheapness problem, but the light green leafy background in the product image is, unfortunately, printed on the aida that comes with the project, and as such, it is not present in my finished product. That said, it wouldn't be all that difficult to just add one in with pale green embroidery floss on your own.-The needle is horrible. It's much too small for a project like this, and it is essentially impossible to thread. I used my own. This is an ok product. It includes everything you need to make the design, however, aside from the floss and the pattern, you'll end up using your own items anyway. I do not recommend it for beginners, as the pattern really is pretty difficult to understand. It's not that it's a hard pattern... it's just that it isn't written very well, and someone inexperienced is going to have a much harder time with this.

READ THIS! It's helpful!!
Stitches: Cross, Half-cross, back-stitch, French knot & lazy Daisy. The only reason this didn't get 5 stars is because it didn't mention those last two stitches in the description. Also because the fact that something this complicated might be more eligible for the Dimensions 'Gold' Collection.I want to mention that I've noticed a lot of people cyber-say they run out of floss because Dimensions doesn't include enough. Guess what? You don't have to send away for more:For one thing, ALWAYS, save what you have from former Dimensions projects so you can use it again. For another thing, thread like DMC is super cheap & there are conversion charts all over the internet. I know Dimensions says not to use a different brand; BULL! Just a way to get people to buy their brand, lol.

Good quality & very cute *NOT FOR BEGINNERS!*
Very cute pattern. I’m a beginner, this is NOT for beginners. Nor does it say it is...so that’s my fault for buying this advanced kit...however, it was priced so low, I had to buy!!! I watched some “How-to” YouTube videos on counted cross stitch. I’m still a bit confused. I’m going to attempt it. It’s a counted cross stitch pattern. No printing on Aida cloth. For beginners, a pre-patterned/printed/stamped Aida cloth kit would be easier. I bought this kit used, listed as good condition-was missing a needle. No big deal. I pray I don’t mess it up...only thing I noticed...not a lot of side material left over. The margins (?) are only 1/8” or so left over. (Sorry, I don’t know the cross stitch lingo!!) I recommend this for a seasoned cross stitcher.

This is Beautiful
This is a beautiful cross-stitch. So beautiful, in fact, that I got it to make as a gift for someone and decided that it goes on my wall instead. My one complaint is that with a couple of flosses, they give too little and I ran out, but Dimensions is good about sending more floss if you call them. You can get their number from 123 Stitch where I got mine. This is the only reason it rated four stars instead of five. As beautiful as this is, it is easier to stitch than it looks. There is a conversion on line from Dimensions floss to DMC, but not all of them are true matches and it's better to call Dimensions as they are very good about sending more floss.

Life like picture
Liked stitching this picture on the green aida. When finished looked as though the butterfly was alive

Not pre printed
Bought this cross stitch thinking it was pre printed (my fault should have read the description more carefully!) . I've not started it yet, as I'm 'building up to it!). It does look lovely, as I'm quite new to cross stitch I just hope I can do it justice!

Check stitching regularly with chart
I am very pleased with this picture. The colours are beautiful and I ordered two of them and gave one to my sister. The fabric is easy to count and I enlarge the chart starting at the center of the pattern. I use a highlighter and mark off each stitch as I go along to make sure I stay in the correct line. My advise is don’t jump to other areas. Make sure to finish each area fully before you move to a new area. Take the time to cross check your stitch with previously stitched area and your chart.

I have done other Dimensions cross stitch pictures. They are really good ones.
