Module Magic: Creative Projects to Knit One Block at a Time

I absolutely love this book! I've bought several knitting books on modular knitting. And out of all of those books, none of them are as thorough in covering all shapes. The other books I own mainly cover squares and triangles. This book has patchwork, strips, hexagons, letter shapes, and shapes knitted at different angles and in different size combinations. The book is so colorful and inspirational with all of the instructional pictures. I love the design of the book! Definetely knitters, buy this book. You won't regret it!

This book is an excellent companion to the class I took at Stitches West 2008. Clear and concise, it is illustrated with sketches and describe the pattern perfectly. Even is you have not taken such a class, it will suit perfectly in training you for your modular knitting.

It has many patterns that can be done now even though it is a older book. I have a friend that saw it said she had sold it in a store she worked in. Ask me where to find another I told her amazon. There are several I want to look at and possible make.

Good overall instructions, but garments are dated and unflattering. If you want high fashion see Swing, Swagger and Drape.

My wife got the book and was ready to start the blocks right away, for starters. The condition of the book was just a tad below new, and very good. appreciate it.

The book is wonderful and arrived in very good condition. Thank you very much. I am using it to make sweaters with leftover balls of yarn, especially for my young grandchildren.

Brilliant book, would recommend this to any knitter with stash to use up - as well as a good excuse to go and get/spin more yarn

I bought this (American) book based on the favourable review it had already received on this site. I was not tempted to knit any of the patterns given; the colours chosen to illustrate them are brash rather than subtle (black, orange and beige for example or how about the hideous geometric top in black, lavender, rust, turquoise and light green) and many of the finished projects look not just garish but decidedly unflattering. There are tantalizing small glimpses of more interesting samples but none of them are used. The general instruction pages are possibly the most useful but the information given is available elsewhere without buying this book. Ms Luters might be good at techniques but on colour selection she is uninspiring to say the least.

Wer sich gerne näher mit der vielseitigen Modul-Technik befassen möchte und einigermaßen mit Strick-Englisch klarkommt, dem kann ich dieses Buch nur empfehlen.Gleich zu Anfang werden alle möglichen und unmöglichen Modularten gut und ausführlich erklärt. Wer bereits die Bücher von Horst Schulz kennt wird hier nicht unbedingt neues finden. Allerdings überzeugt der Technik Teil, der viel ausführlicher und verständlich beschrieben wird. Modelle in unterschiedlichsten Ausrichtungen sind zu finden und die Farbbeispiele muss man sich ja nicht zu Herzen nehmen, das sollte man nach eigenen Wünschen anpassen. Wer englisch kann ist hiermit gut gerüstet für die Patchworktechnik und wird kein weiteres brauchen.
