I ordered these shoes for my husband this past summer. He was looking for a light-weight slip on casual shoe. Unfortunately, even the size 13 didn't fit quite right. Too narrow. But overall, the shoes seem to be well-made and for someone with a more normal size foot, they might be perfect.

The Alpine Swiss shoes are definitely comfortable and are quite stylish. The soles are not slippery even on wood or tile floors. They can be used on smooth paved roads, but not on any surface with irregularities, such as small stones. The soles are too soft and too thin to protect against rough terrain. For wearing around the house and for short walks of a mile or two on pavement, they are just fine. A short walk on rough terrain would be ok too. If you have ever worn decent lightweight hiking shoes, you would notice the difference immediately in the way they protect your feet. These shoes fit well and are easy to slip on and off just as advertised. Using them for casual tennis works well as long as you are not playing competitively, where a more supportive shoe would be better. I like these shoes for general use at home and in a a suburban environment.
