Works as advertized
Bought this product for my iSpring system and it fits and it works. Can't say a bad thing about it.

Reduced contaminents in water
Ordered and received 2 spare PUREPLUS 10 filters. I have not changed them yet. I the filter comes in 2 parts (per website) The inner filter is reusable, however, you must soak it in water for 12 hours. The outer filter, I am not sure of at the moment. I will be changing them soon. I got the spare filters so I can soak one filter and use the other to continue reducing the contaminants. I gave the rating as I am pleased with the original filter that I have now. I find no reason to give a different rating than I gave the original filter. I would recommend this filter if you are on a well.

WELL WATER FILTER FOR A SHOP BATHROOM
It would of been helpful to have instructions, We did figure it out. I did receive instructions on replacing the filter. I would like to know how often I need to change the filter and what I need to look for if it needs changing before the recommended time. I will see how it works and follow up.

Beware! Requires you to service every 4,000 gal!
I was excited to find a filter that would do as advertised "2 filters in 1" which they have constructed this filter in 2 parts having the standard woven outer filter with a "2nd" removable inner filter for the reduction/removal of iron in water supply. As advertised it meets the general life span of treating 30-40,000 gal of water. BUT!!!! THATS ONLY THE WOVEN OUTTER FILTER, INNER IS ONLY GOOD FOR 4,000 GAL!!! Which means you must either replace the entire filter every 4,000 gal because the inner is not available separately or as stated the inner/secondary filter is "reusable". Sounds good again right? Reusable... yes it's reusable BUT!! it requires hours of labor, cleaning and treatment to secondary filter including soaking for 8 hours! So either you buy multiple So you can have a 2nd inner core that you can swap it out while you do the maintenance that takes aprox 10-12 hours and have on hand to swap again in another 4,000 gal. This is not worth it!!

Use in whole house filtration
We have used these for year, we have a steel cased well. It filters out all rust and any metallic taste.

Not effective on our Colorado well water
First , be sure to install this right end up . Will not flow at all upside down and when well pump turned on pressure will totally lock up housing .This springs rains here in the Colorado Front Range caused a lot of surface water to percolate into our well cistern making the water bright orange . Got this 2 in 1 filter hoping it might remove the ` rust . Very little noticeable difference . Simply not a viable solution for our situation . Will go back to the 1 micron https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01G2IYO6E/ filters which are effective but don't even claim to remove iron . For that I would recommend dedicated " water softener " at the point of use , eg: laundry , rather than at the well .
