My best pal and I love trivia games. Played it for the first time last week. This one is really well done and good even if you are not especially fond of trivia games. You can play with just two players--or teams. You could actually play it as a solitaire game too. Just cover the answer on card with thumb. Easy to learn, easy to play. The questions are multiple choice, so even if you don't know the answer you have a 25% chance of getting it right. The quality of the tiles (plastic not cardboard), velvet storage bag is great. And portable. I bought the Prodigy extension box to play with grandkids at Christmas. My pal has already bought the two music extension packs. He told a work friend about Hexaquest; she bought the game as well. You can "make it your own". E.g. if you can answer the question without getting the multiple choice answers you earn extra points. There is also some strategy involved. Very pleased. My only concern as will all trivia games, you eventually run out of questions.

What makes the Hexaquest Game much better than Trivial Pursuit is due to the structure of the game. Yes, they both have there own categories, but with Hexaquest you can choose the strength of the category (Easy to Hard) or the choice of content. Hexaquest also provides opportunities as to which answer is correct! When I played Trivial Pursuit, for some unexplained reason, I wasn't able to successfully answer over 70% of the questions and the game was called Trivial! The Hexaquest Game is for EVERYONE, regardless of age. For me, the game has merit and emphasizes the choices that each player can choose to make. I even think that Hexaquest would make a fantastic game show. Think about it!!!!

‘Hexaquest’ is a trivia game. Hexagonal tiles are mixed and place in the center of the table. These tiles indicate a point value and a category. The categories vary from history, food, etc. the point value also coincides with the difficulty of the question. Players take turns picking a tile. A multiple choice question is read based on the category and the difficulty. If answered correctly, the player earns the points on that tile. When the tiles are gone, the game is over and the points tallied.We played the game a few times over the holidays with everyone enjoying it. The questions are generally very good. There were a couple that had us wondering how it was in the hardest difficulty versus the easiest. That aside, this was a very fun game. My son immediately ordered a couple of expansion packs which adds another category, tiles and questions. Enjoy!

Nice, easy to play trivia game. But some questions are way too easy and some that are supposed to be the easy level are way too hard.

My adult son received this for Christmas, we had such fun playing with the family during our visit, we ordered our own as soon as we got home!

Your classic trivia game with a twist! There are 6 categories to choose from, each with a corresponding color. The game also comes with a number of hexagon shaped pieces that have a color category on one side and a number on the other side. The color of course indicates the category you will play and the number indicates how many points you earn if you answer the question correctly. Some of the pieces have double the points which can be a game changer at any time and put you ahead. You can place the hexagons however you like; category side up, point side up, or a mix of both. That was another element that I found fun and exciting. The game pieces are well-made, not flimsy, and feel nice and smooth in your hand. I played with 3 friends and they are all big fans of the game too! We are all in our 30's but the questions were appropriate for teenagers as well. There is an expansion pack that I will definitely be purchasing as this is my new favorite game!

Loved the game, tons of fun and extremely easy to learn to play!

This is a fun game. Bought this for my daughter for Christmas and we played several times before the new year started. We did notice a couple of questionable answers ( for instance, the game declared the Dead Sea deeper than the Mariana trench and which dictator was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize) but we had some lively debates and still had a great time together.

This game was fantastic - did not disappoint. It is different from other trivia games because you can pick what categories you get to answer from a few options. There is also mystery because some of the chips are up and some are down so you can play it safe with the smaller points or risk it for the higher points not knowing the category. 10/10 will be my go to Xmas gift this yearYou can also get expansion packs from the company.
