Well Built & Does the Job
I got the XSTO CT105 model, which weighs about 53 lbs (including battery). Although that's lightweight for an electric stair climber, it's sturdily built; it reminds me of a lighter weight, thinner version of my Magliner hand truck (the finish is that good). XSTO includes a printed manual & has online demonstrations on their site. Customer Service answered 4 questions I asked before buying. XSTO recommends practicing with an empty truck to get the hang of it, & I did; then I strapped 2 awkward ramps on it (total load weight= 60 pounds) & it worked well at getting up & down carpeted & uncarpeted steps. On the way downstairs with it, I took a misstep & it rolled forward, but braked itself as it's supposed to do, at the edge of the step.My only complaint is that the levers to activate/deactivate the automatic stair brake didn't always stay in the position I pushed them to. To avoid unexpected disengagement, I always kept it on the “activate” position. I would also like to see a bigger toe plate. The battery is easy to install (push or pull) & has a digital usage window & on/off switch. The handles contain switches for upstairs/downstairs, & for slow/fast treadmill speed. All you have to do to get started is charge the battery, put the fuse in the battery, & push the battery into the housing (it fits only one way). The battery is a little hard to remove due to tight fit, but it has a handle to make it easier to pull out.XSTO doesn’t mention it anywhere, but it included all sorts of extra parts: battery charger, adapter, 4 extra wired switch assemblies, extra fuse, 2 additional small wheels with axels, a mini Philips screwdriver, & a metal gadget for various sized hex bolt turning.

It met and exceeded my expectations
It’s light enough to carry around, it carries more than I could load it to go up stairs. The shifting of the wheel position is a little difficult to go from stair climbing to flat surfaces and back, especially when it’s loaded. Ideally it could use a single lever that shifts both sides at the same time.

Buyer Be Ware !
Have used this product 15-20 times. On the last time, the small wheel that bares all the weight slipped & the whole thing fell down & I fell right behind it. After it fell I was never able to get it to work again.Very disappointing !
