Old moldy warehouse taste
If I could put zero stars I would. I will admit that the kit is more difficult than it seems like the other reviews mention and that I definitely messed up my first box. I chalked it up to being my own user error. It’s worth noting that the box says to go to their website site for help and there’s hardly anything there. My next box I followed the one YouTube video I could find for a little guidance and got it. Then I tasted it.It tastes like mold. Like a moldy warehouse. I thought maybe that I must’ve messed up again somehow. How can caramel taste so awful? So tasted my first incorrect batch and it tasted just as bad.I’m so disappointed. I thought the mixed reviews were still worth it because I love their candy apple mix and it just sounded like these were more complicated. But instead they’re extremely poor quality and gross. I’m glad I didn’t ruin any more apples before tasting it!

Wonderful favor. Outstanding taste. Grandchildren enjoyed making and eating

Product is OK, but this particular one requires you to cook your own caramel.
Was expecting those pre-made sheets you wrap around apples, not that we'd have to essentially make our own caramel and add in the packet from this.

Great
My sister loves caramel apples but I dislike peeling the caramels so this is a perfect way for her to enjoy her favorite fall treat wtihout the mess. I just wish the squares of caramel were bigger. These only fit smaller apples, and no, it is not easy to pull and stretch this to cover a bigger one like the instructions tell you to.

Awful….even following directions. HUGE NO.
If you check my account you will see that I’m not someone who typically leaves negative reviews but this deserves one. Never have I ever had such a gross product. I followed the directions to a “T” and still the “caramel” sauce failed. I let it cool the appropriate time and it was so runny! Them the following day the sauce had turned into slabs of nasty sugar. Do not waste your money or your time. Go get you a bag of caramel candies & heavy cream and make your own. I cannot believe I paid almost $10 for this trash. Not happy at all.The last 2 pics are the morning after.

It was a horrible mess and the THIN layer that did stay on ...
I tried, I really did. I tried to make my kids caramel apples with this kit but it was a complete disaster. The caramel didn't stay on the apples and ended up on the cookie sheet instead. It was a horrible mess and the THIN layer that did stay on the apple never even dried completely in the fridge, so it just stayed wet and sticky. I tried the second box to make sure I'd done it correctly with the same results. It's a great concept but doesn't execute well. I think I'll stick with the sheets of caramel you can wrap around the apple and mold to fit instead.
