Beautiful shelf and really easy to assemble. Mine is displayed horizontally and it looks great.

It’s sturdier than the picture looks. I wanted a more creative look for my books. I’m buying another one now I know how well made it is. You can use it upright or laying down. If this wasn’t up against a wall- I wouldn’t use as a room divider unless you put real heavy stuff in bottom to keep it in place. It does come with a wall anchor but I didn’t use because I have no small kids and no pets to worry about with all my books on it. Was NOT damaged when I received it thank goodness. I get many compliments on it.Update: 7.3.21 - LOVE THESE SO MUCH- I ordered 2 more in gray!! Now my son wants one for his bedroom. Pricey, but great quality, not cheap. I now have 2 white and 2 gray in different rooms in my house. Totally satisfied! Easy to assemble, heavy, so they are sturdy, my daughter put 2 together for me.

The bookshelf arrived yesterday and I had a chance to get it all set up today. The box was SUPER heavy. Probably 80lbs. The bookshelf is visually very nice but I'm giving it 4 stars because I'm not sure how sturdy it is, even with the glue they provide. While I think it could be either placed upright or horizontally, it was built to be vertical because all of the hardware is facing downwards (so sideways when it's horizontal). They give you these little white stickers to put over the holes...but you know....probably nicer standing up. The whole thing took me about an hour and 45 minutes to complete on my own.Not quite as cheap as a similar IKEA bookshelf but I think it's height and the modern look are worth the price. Overall, I'm pleased. Just wish the shippers were a little more careful. It arrived with a hole ripped in the side of the box and there was definitely a little damage as a result (see photo).

Love it! Beautiful once its all put together as it took a few hours by myself to complete and I highly suggest using an electronic screwdriver power tool as there are 30+ screws! Also the directions as I learned could of been a bit more direct so go slow and deliberate with the process. Just an fyi Most of the cam lock screws face to the floor as you assemble as I had to take apart a couple pieces and turn them around to what would be facing the floor when bookshelf is stood up. Also my delivery was prompt and all parts were in perfect condition!!!

For the money, this is a great bookcase. It was not easy to put together but it wasn't beyond basic capabilities - it just took a lot of time and patience getting everything lined up just so. There were a LOT of pieces to this puzzle. The stickers they give you to cover the screw holes seemed kind of cheesy at first but the blend well. It's heavy enough to be sturdy on a solid surface. they do give you straps to secure it to the wall, but we bought separate brackets that we felt were more secure

Well, I wanted something to decorate but not cluttery. And these divider looks and large areas really does make the openness. I used it was a diver. I bought two b/c I have a loft like space and wanted some division and this did the job. One on both sides of the wall...not only lets the sun light in, but also decorative, and quasi wall. My guy who renovated my kitchen said I should make a room for it which means permanence....and possible obstruction of one large window. No thanks.The width or the depth of the unit isn't too deep nor too thin. It's just perfect. It holds my books and separates my rooms.Love it. I have iMac in white, decided to purchase white furniture desk for my iMac and it looks clean.

Assembly was easier than expected! Just be sure you have your shelf surfaces all facing the same direction...or some them will have exposed assembly holes that would otherwise be hidden. Discovered that little bit of info after the fact ! 😜 Still not a big deal. By the time my teenage daughter put all of her books and other various clutter on the shelves you can't see the holes. And now her messy clutter actually looks cute and organized...as much as possible anyways!
