It's like leather, but better.
Jokes aside, I do appreciate how easy this stuff was to work with. Made a motorcycle seat cover out of it and it has held up quite well so far.

Exactly what I expected
This faux leather looks and feels very nice and is exactly what I expected. The back side feels like a soft suede and it’s very easy to work with. Great value and product. It did smell a little when I received it so I placed it in a large box with lid. In a day or so, the chemical smell had dissipated and was ready to use.

Great quality & perfect match
Top of stool had worn out & didn't want to let it go. Found this vinyl fabric & it the color matched perfectly, also same color as pic. I have ordered fabrics for other projects & once received them the colors weren't the same as pic, but this was. YAY for me. The hard part was sewing a circle with flat edges...lol Think it came out great, very happy with the vinyl color & thickness, it was easy to sew too. Thanks,

Color is WAY off. EDIT: I'm actually buying more. EDIT #2: I'm so glad I tried again!
EDIT: As much as I hated the color of the khaik, I'm buying more and bumping it up a star. The fact is, the cloth is too good to work with not to try another color. The costume making is going so much better than I anticipated. If I feel duped by the second color at least I have something for projects where color doesn't matter as much.If the second one doesn't look like swamp mud, I'll give it four stars. I really do enjoy sewing with this cloth.-------Edit#2: I'm so glad I tried again! The second order was for 'light brown' and *this* one nails it. It's a perfect, dappled leather. It would go perfect with a British Campaign chair! (Exactly what I'm using it for!)The quality is just as good as the other color.Guys, seriously - read the review on the khaki and really think about what you need it for. That color doesn't look nice at all, but the light brown is perfect. It's not too orange, yellow, or brown. The variations in the pattern look so natural. So yes, I'm going to try to go for 2 out of 3 and buying the dark brown. If it holds up as well as the light brown, I've found both of the faux leathers I've been hunting for.-------I ordered khaki and, considering the price, adjusted my expectations. I expected a weak backing, a thin material, and less variation in the pattern than depicted. I wasn't looking for much. Something that looked like pretty leather if you dimmed the lights and squinted your eyes a little. The cloth itself is actually a pretty good material. Much thicker than expected and the backing is nice and solid. It's soft and pliable. But the color... the color is the color of mud. Not a pretty brown mud like in the Southwest. The color of swamp mud. Greyish greenish mud. I don't think that I could call it a shade of brown or orange. That would be an insult to both of those colors. My plans for the cloth have been downgraded to a disposable viking costume for the grandkiddo. I do believe she'll enjoy running around in it with her sword and I suspect it'll hold up well to the abuse. If the color were ANYTHING like the photo I'd have happily bought much more based on the quality. I am sad that such a well-made faux leather has to look THAT bad, but glad I only got the one piece, otherwise I'd have to go through the hassle of returning it.

Quality is too good
Loved the feel and texture. When I opened the box, there was a pungent smell- but that’s what you get when you buy leather products. Bought it to redo the bench seat and dining chairs. The material was thicker than original one, so had a little bit of trouble when stapling the edges. But overall look and feel is lovely. will be replacing the cover of rest of the chairs with the same material. Recommended for purchase

Big enough for 6 chairs
The material is a bit lighter in color than I'd hoped for. But works with our existing chairs. Looks like real leather. It's stretchable and easy to work with. I was able to cover 6 chairs - start to finish - in one day. But it was work. You'll probably want to replace your existing foam pads. We used (2) 2'x6'x2" pads, and cut them with a sharp knife. Thee are plenty of videos online for how to do this. But basically you remove the seat, remove the existing covrers and foams (and all those dang staples). Then you cut the new foam to about a half inch oversize. And stretch the covers across front/back, and then over the sides (pulling everything tight). The corners are then overlaid by pulling tightly with some folds. You'll also want to cover the bottom with some cambric cloth for a better appearance and dust protection, before replacing the seats on the chairs.

Nice fabric and color
This is really nice fabric for the price, and the color was great. Shipping was fast and secure. I ended up not doing the project I bought the fabric for, so I returned it. Had to eat a restocking fee for that, but something back is better than nothing. If I needed leather like fabric for another project, I would buy this again.

5 STARS
okay this fabric is high quality for the price, and SO EASY to work with. It stretches a lot on the length side, yes it has a smell but you’re buying fabric from Amazon… it goes away quick so get over it. I threw mine in the dryer on medium for 1 minute increments to get the creases out and it worked well and also helped alleviate the smell. Super happy with it and now trying to find other things in the house to reupholster with this fabric. Looks great!
