Chinese Medicine Cooker UL BPA Free by City ST

Using this cooker for traditional chinese medicine herbs is very useful, as it shuts down when the water boils off to 1 cup and keeps warm until poured out into a cup. I have used this one for years and had to order a new one when I dropped the lid from my old cooker. The only difference between my old one and the new one is the electric cord is shorter on the new one, otherwise just the same. Worth the investment, hassle free over watching a pot on the stove cook down the herbs.

I bought cooker a month ago , but today I use 2nd time to cook medicine, after one hour cooker change the light to warm, I think that medicine done, but when I check liquid medicine inside too much. About 2 cups liquid medicine. That why I need to return, or exchange. Please answer , ThanksQuangQuach

For cooking dried Chinese herbs of all sorts -- leaves, bark, wood, peels, etc. -- in water to create herbal tea, this device does the job quite well. The only drawback is that a minimum quantity of water is necessary for the heating element to reach boiling temperature. The more dried herbs in the mix, the less water is required. The minimum quantity of water needed at the start is from 3 to 4 cups (24 to 32 ounces). It is easy to strain the liquid out and easy to clean afterwards. The lid and container get quite hot, so potholders are needed to hold the pot when pouring out the cooked liquid.

This was bigger than I expected which is a good thing. It is a bit on the heavy side do to it's size but my Mom who is 63 can pick it up and pour it into a cup just fine. It was well packaged so nothing broke. My mom uses it to cook her herbal medicines and LOVES it. No complaints. I would recommend.

There is a rubber sealing the bottom part and I am concerned boiling that with my medicine. I ended up returning it. The packaging does not have a BPA free label or certificate proving that. False advertising. Ended up returning it!

I like this product. It’s very convenient and easy to use, and the quality is good! I purchased to cook herbal soup during my postpartum care and it works great! I’ll recommend it to my friends!

It be really nice if it had a low heat setting about 120 F

Nice and convenient. It automatically changes to simmering. I wish it summered at a slightly lower heat, but it gets the job done.
