A Gummy Candy Party In A Box That Will Impress Any Fan Of Gummy Candy
The Haribo Gummy Candy Assorted Mix is the ultimate party pack for any fan of Haribo gummy candy. The manufacturer box gives the recipient a clear expectation of what is awaiting them inside the box as it says, "It's Candy. The Party Is On! Perfect for All Occasions. Large variety. Individually wrapped." Can't be any clearer than that! As expected, there was a large variety of Haribo gummy candy. The content I received includes:1 Bag Haribo Gold-Bears, Cherry (4oz)2 Bags Haribo Gold-Bears, Apple (4oz)2 Bags Happy Hoppers (4oz)2 Bags Haribo Share The Happy Mini Bags (11 mini bags)1 Bag Haribo Starmix, Fruitier Mix, Mini Bags (11 mini bags)In the product description, the manufacturer mentions that there are 49 packs. I'm not sure how they came to this number as I received 33 mini bags and 5 full sized bags. The gummy candies are soft and chewy and taste delicious although there were a few pieces that are shaped like people in the Supermix that were not squishy gummy in texture but more in line with the texture of Swedish Fish. I'm not sure if this was the intention or not but as a fan of Swedish Fish, I didn't mind. The shapes vary in appearance and bright colors. When I opened each Share The Happy Mini Bags, I found the 11 bags were made up of 5 Supermix, 3 Starmix, 2 Giant Strawbs Gone Mini, and 1 Tangfastics. I wish the breakdown was a little more even and not so heavy on the Supermix flavor. The best by date for the candy I received range from 10 months to 18 months from the date I received it. Interestingly, on three of the packages (the three Haribo Gold-Bears) there is a contest to win a trip to Florida and a year's supply for Haribo Gummies. What is so interesting about this? Well the contest ended on June 30, 2017. These candies were made prior to the contest date given the aforementioned information. Thankfully the product has a long shelf life and the gummies are still delightfully soft and chewy. The only product in this mix that is vegetarian is the Giant Strawbs Gone Mini as it does not include animal gelatin. The candies were made in Germany and Turkey. This assortment is perfect to give as a gift, serve at a party, to take with you on the go, or to just enjoy anytime of the day. It is truly a gummy candy party in a box that will impress any fan of gummy candy. I loved this assortment and will definitely be buying this set again.

MAY CONTAIN GLUTEN
This is an unusual box. There are 5 large bags, each weighing in at 4oz. (113 grams):- 2x apple (“limited edition”)- 1x cherry (“limited edition”)- 2x Happy Hoppers (“share size”)Then there are 3 very large bags, each containing 11 “mini bags”. This is the multipack size and weighs in at 176 grams.- 2x Starmix- 1x Share the HappyThe Share the Happy bag contains 4 different types of “mini bags”:- 3x Giant Strawbs (THESE ARE VEGETARIAN!)- 1x Starmix- 3x Tangfastics- 4x SupermixNone of the mini bags in the Share the Happy bag are actually gummy bears except for the Starmix. The “mini bags” are extremely tiny. The mini bags of gummy bears contain an average of only 7 bears. The non-bear bags have similarly limited content.Given our preferences and allergy issues, I dug into two issues:- Vegetarian? No. Everything contains gelatin with the exception of the 3 “mini bags” of Giant Strawbs.- Gluten free? No. And this one chafes because the ingredient listing says the glucose and dextrose are “from wheat or corn”. Which means that if the company chose to, they could just use the “from corn” option and create a treat which those with Celiac Disease could enjoy. It's a really pity they opted not to take that step. Their website further confirms that none of their products should be considered gluten free. That's a shame since they very easily could be.BOTTOM LINE: You can't eat these if you are vegetarian (with one limited exception) or eat gluten free. Also, the bag sizes are odd, with the large bags containing quite a sizable amount and the mini bags being way too mini. Also, my house now smells like bubble gum.

Good Candy, but Expires in Less Than a Year - Contest from 2016 on Back of the Bags
The Haribo Gummy Candy Assorted Mix is a fun mix to get if you're looking to get a variety of gummies in one fun box. The gummies were all fresh tasting and came in a large variety so you get to try some of Haribo's more unique flavors. The box we received included two bags of apple gummies, one bag of sour cherry gummies, two bags of "Happy Hoppers", two bags of "Star Mix", and one bag of "Happy Mix". The apple, cherry, and Happy Hopper gummies are full bags of gummies, while the Star Mix and Happy Mix include smaller individual-sized bags that you can put in lunch bags or stash in your purse as a small snack. The individual bags are mixed bags that include cola bottles, fried egg, sour rings, and gummy bears, and are essentially a mix of standard and foam gummies. While our family enjoyed these treats, I will note that these gummies are coming close to expiration. On the back of the apple and cherry bags, there is a contest that is dated 2016-2017 to "win a trip to Orlando Florida for voting for your favorite of the new flavored gummies!". This was slightly off-putting although the gummies themselves tasted just fine. All of the gummies are obviously old candy that is purchased in bulk by PartyPom to be sold as variety packs, and while I wouldn't mind ordering these for myself, I would be terribly embarrassed to send it as a gift knowing my recipient would see near expired candy. Overall, as long as you're fine with getting a lot of candy that will expire soon, it's a fun variety pack to try.
