I now understand what a previous reviewer meant by the cap coming unscrewed. The direction that you need to turn the cap in order to open the holes is the same direction you turn the cap to take it off. So opening the holes unscrews the cap. Difficult to hold cap in place with gloves while you are opening it. Also, holes are too small for de-icer crystals. Takes a lot of work to cover an area. Wind up just taking the cap off and shaking them out. Would work well for sand though.

So it's the beginning of fall but I wanted to purchase these before the snow actually comes in winter. These are a great upgrade from the Tide pouring bottle my mother put salt in. I like the size of the container. This can hold a lot of sale so you don't have to make several trips. The adjusting lid is a huge pro. We have a clumsy dog so having a lid that can twist open and close is great! Couldn't be happier.

A bit hard to get the lid on straight and takes a little patience, hence, the complaints on that issue. But works great for seed, granular fertilizer and granular pesticide. Top stays on and at opening as set, and can be adjusted in opening size during use to adjust for coverage as desired.

The hole on these arent big enough for rock salt. I only bought it for that purpose and it seems to not work for that at all. Also, the grate filter that opens and closes the container falls off during use as well. Only buy this for small sized grains, like fertilizer or something like that. But not for normal rock salt.

The containers are a good size but did not come with closable lid! Diatomaceous earth doesn't work when wet. I bought these to store garden fertilizers and pesticides I'm disabled and need to be able to close these for easy use and transport without spillage NOT a good value for the money. The seller would be likely to have batter reviews if product shipped was as described. So disappointed!

Used one to spread diatomaceous earth around my house , garden and trees. Spread it evenly with no issues. Also used second one for grass seed spreading with no issues. I wouldn't use it for anything super heavy or big grain like rock salt.

Needed something to allow easier spreading of DE in the coop. This seems like it will work great. Only question, why do they have a Liter and a Kg markings on the outside? How do they know that the item I put in there will always be the same weight?

Habe die Teile erfolgreich im Einsatz, Nur das befüllen ist etwas schwierig (habe mir eine Abwiegeschaufel ca. Gramm gekauft). Klarer Vorteil, durch die Möglichkeit zu dosieren spart man Straumittel.

Die Teile mussten zurückgesandt werden, der Deckel war deformiert, keine Verwendung möglich. Ob es and er Post lag, kann nicht exakt gesagt werden, eher an der ungünstigen Verpackung.

Für den Preis habe ich nicht viel erwartet und noch weniger bekommen. Sehr dünnes billiges Material, der Deckel läßt sich kaum aufschrauben.

Used it for diatomaceous earth this summer, will try it with salt this winter.

Good for my backyard which is not that large. It would be nice if the spreader is bit smaller.
