Wanted this book to be great but it's a Phd thesis with limited value.
This review could be considered biased since I write books on recruiting and hiring and have a company that has trained 40K hiring managers and recruiters over the past 25+ years. However, by chapter 3 I realized this book has nothing to do with recruiting and it's all about interviewing. I will finish the book and am hoping it addresses how AI can actually be applied to not just assess the candidate but also how the candidate can assess the role. Since I also have been personally involved with over 2000 different hiring assignments for staff, mid- and senior management the problem I have with most books written by academics is that they never talk to candidates who have multiple offers and who have to guarantee the person will be successful. This guarantee is a two-way street to both the hiring manager and the person being hired. Interviewing is part of the business process of hiring but only one part (the other parts include sourcing, attracting, job role definition, recruiting, closing). And being great at one part of a process can cause sub-optimization if it compromises the bigger goal. In the case of hiring this is getting the best person to apply and to consider the job as the best among competing career alternatives. I will rewrite this review if my initial reading is incorrect after I finish the book. I hope it is better and I'm happy to talk to the authors and have them on one of my webcasts to debate their ideas. (I can be contacted via LinkedIn)

waste of time
At the first place, I thought it is a book about introducing new technology and factors to improve recruitment. However, it is just a book talking about how AI can help on recruitment.It is kinds of waste of time to read how AI can help on work efficiency, we have already knew it from Google and Facebook.
