I really love these Teva sandals!
I have been wearing Tevas ever since they first came out... I've worn many different styles in many different versions over the years but have pretty much stuck to the traditional nylon strap a style of Teva. These are completely different in that they're all molded rubber and there's only one strap which is over the ankle to secure the sandal. The strap that goes over your toes and the strap behind your heel are fixed and cannot be adjusted. This is okay with me because they fit my feet perfectly. And because they're rubber and not cloth there are no cutting edges to dig into my skin which has often been the case with the traditional Tevas. So I'm hooked on these! In fact just days after I received my first pair I ordered a second pair just to have on hand! I love it that I can get them wet and it doesn't matter they clean off really easy but more importantly I just love how comfortable they are on my feet! And I'm really impressed that they come in my size I wear a men's size 14 and that's not easy to find. So yes I will be buying these again for sure!

Comparing the Teva Men's Hurrican Sandals with the Teva Hurricane Xlt2 Sandals
Comparing the this sandal (Hurricane Drift) with the TEVA Men's Hurricane Xlt2 Sandals. First of all, ny son is a lifeguard and spends a lot of time in shallow water, his crocs banged up his feet with blisters on his first day of the summer, perhaps they are too tight. I ordered these two pairs of sandals to choose one to wear instead as they look like they have better support for the sole of the foot when standing all day and fit closer to the foot so there shouldn’t be so much movement or friction.HurricaneThis Sandal is the one on the left on the picture and the one shown by itself, it is made out of a rubber material similar to crocs but thicker. The strap across the ankle has a more flexible feel to the material than the rest of the shoe, for comfort and durability. You cannot adjust the fit of the straps so if the strap is too tight or too loose, it can’t be adjusted. He finds the shoe very comfortable. Both shoes have the same sole in terms of size, fit and even treads, but this shoe is made of rubber so is much lighter. Completely waterproof.Hurricane XIt2This shoe has a heavier duty rubber sole, making is a little heavier but still light. The straps are typical of Teva sandals, more like a stiff waterproof fabric feel and every strap adjusts with velco. This allows a custom fit but my son finds parts of the Velcro digs in unless you have the perfect lined up seal. This shoe also has a comfort padded strap at the heal. More cumbersome to get on with the Velcro long strap.VerdictFor my sons lifeguard needs or a water/beach shoe we would pick the Hurricane rubber shoe. Perhaps for hiking or wading through a river I’d pick the Hurricane XIt2 during to more of a hiking weight to the sole and the adjustable straps. For my son, the less expensive rubber shoe is the clear winner. More comfortable and less fussy and nothing to dry on it. I will also be putting this review on the other shoe reviews with a close up picture of that shoe. In terms of fit, it’s quite a wide fit and a typical size 9. Both soles are the same size and in each design other than material. Hope this helps someone out.

Not the same as older TEVA's but have a place.
To start I already had 3 pairs of TEVA's with thousands of miles and more countries underfoot of them, along with a substantial number of the States. More deserts than I remember or want too. Now, on with it, I decided to get another pair considering my others are quite worn, and trying to fall apart... the Shoe Goo isn't holding up (as much) now. My reasoning with this model is molded in one piece and velcro is stitched on one strap so no water intrusion on footbed for it to delaminate. They are made in Vietnam according to the stamp on them. On with my short term review of few days wearing them, the left one has worn a spot on top of small toe. Likely visible in one picture. Yeah I've got screwed up feet and toes. Many injuries and traumas to them too. The hotspot is at the embossed "triangle buckle" some it may not be a concern.Very light weight only ounces for a pair. The footbed is very soft and flexible and I have some concern on that. Definitely a light build person will have better experience with them. I'm not that guy, 6'2" middle aged male or old to some and getting fat. This pair might become my sand, beach, shower, and like use only pair. In the few days I have worn them I see some wearing on the tread already. I'm definitely more use to to the more heavy duty multi layer versions, and multiple adjustments from two straps. This is not to be mistaken as a negative review. But definitely not a pair I'd take as my primary for a walking, high plains, desert, or hike, but a good after hike wear around camp. Likely great for "Destin FL." walking to the water from parking and on the sand there. I might scrub the bottoms clean and slather on Shoe Goo to add a wear layer. I have snapped several pictures of mine from 30 some years old to this pair for context. Would I recommend them, we'll in general yes a quality brand product, I would bay another pair Likely, the higher priced pair definitely especially if you plan on really doing some walking with them.

EAsy to clean and comfortable.
These worked great for our snorkeling trip to the Galapagos. Comfortable to wear on ship yet easy to clean if worn off ship as they require you to either clean or not wear your off-ship shoes on board. Still look like new and fit great.

Disappointed
Did not realize most of the straps are fused together and the sandal is essentially rubber with limited adjustment ability. Probably best used as a water/beach sandal. Definitely not a good choice for light hiking since it can’t be adjusted. Not what I expected from Teva.
