I love the Monitor/Merrimack battle due to the advances made by both ships, the models are very accurate.

Done a number of these metal models and always like the finished product. Feel a sense of accomplishment from doing these models and actually amazed that at 82 years old I still have the dexterity these models require. Feel free to innovate if you can't quite follow the instructions to a tee. The results may be surprisingly good anyway.

This kit is not for beginners. Losts of small aggravating parts and bends. However, still fun to build and looks great complete.

The build isn’t bad, can be completed. Poor engineering on laser cuts, pieces match up but warp very easily. Keep glue handy, not to fix breaks, but secure and reinforce overall model design. Would not recommend this item unless you love to be frustrated with poor fits. Have built over 60 models, this is a top 5 bad design. Bought two, the first had too many flaws to keep. Second run through you figure out and know where to ditch the instructions and build to what actually works and looks good.

This was perfect!

I have built a few kits of the Metal Earth Models and they are fun to build and usually straightforward. This one requires more patience and care and you need a good set of tools to work with it. The final product is nice.
