Works well if used consistently
This product is very easy to use. I was using at a stronger concentration of one tablet per 6 litre watering can. Before I started using this I repotted the worst affected plants in clean potting medium. I let all the plants dry out and then gave them all a good soaking of the solution. I wouldnt recommend watering every week to 10 days if the plants are still damp - keeping them constantly wet makes the gnats worse - I let them dry out in between, but every time I did water them, I used a freshly made batch of fungus gnat killer. A combination of dryness and this product worked well and although it took about a month, it cleared them all and I continued to use it until it was all gone. Now it seems to be unavailable. I hope it comes back soon.

Does exactly what it is supposed to do.
I did a bit of indoor planting Dec. to Mar. and then saw a lot of shoots just collapsing. I had seen little flies zipping about, and when I actually put my glasses on I was horrified to find hundreds of the blighters all around the planters and pots, and also running about on the compost surface. A quick Google and the culprit and cure were located and purchased. I had to re-apply several times as the pests were established, but now I am only getting a few flies, so I trust the breeding cycle has been broken, and I can just use the remedy maybe once a month to make sure the flies don't return. Now my gamble on early tomatoes, lettuce, and beans will pay off.

Was cheaper.
I bought this not too long ago for £5 instead of £14... it worked and i was going to buy more but that is an extortionate price. It saved alot of my plants from a big investation. However i only used one in a 1 litre bottle since with more water it didnt work.

It works!
We were infested with gnats over Christmas which wasn’t great with the amount of food lying around. However as soon as the rain stopped and I was able to take the affected plants outside I removed all of the culprit compost which incidentally and annoyingly was a new bag I’d bought. Masses of gnats in the soil. I repotted and then gave all of my ten plants a good dousing as instructed. My yellow stickers had previously been heaving on some plants. I put new stickers in and felt confident that I’d cracked it. Indeed next morning only a couple flying and only a few on the stickers. I’ve been very vigilant and on day five all looks good with no fliers and a very few on the traps. I’m planning to re water in a couple of days as it’s the time of year that plants don’t like too much. Fingers crossed the product has worked but feeling confident and so well worth the cost.

Does Not Work even at higher concentrations
Had some indoor plants i had potted up with fresh compost. The fungus gnats must have already had infested the compost pre potting. The fresh compost is full of nutrients and I'm guessing this is why these fungus gnats thrive in it. I propagated aroung 24 plant and I usually bring them inside and keep them in the bathroom as it gets lots of light whilst the roots establish and because its very windy where i am and i couldn't leave them outside in a small greenhouse type thing so brought them inside. Everyday I was coming home and was actually hoovering the little buggers up for a good 10 to 15 minute. 30-40 gnats every day and I continued to do this until I went mental. I decided to buy these tablets as I was pretty desperate and my Henry hoover was wanting a break. The packet said 1 tablet can be diluted with upto 10L of water. I decided that as the infestation was pretty bad I woul add 2 tablet to a 6L watering can. Waited a few days and I was coming home to the same amount of gnats. I decided I would up the dose. So added 1 tablet to 0.5L of water. Again drenched the plant through until the water was running out the bottom waited a few days and still loads of gnats. Please don't waste your money on these it false economy and all marketing. Maybe just add a thin layer of sand and top it off with pea grit instead

Great stuff, so glad I bought it
I had problems with small flies/gnats, as I have a lot of houseplants. I tried the sticky yellow shapes which you stick inside the plant pot to trap the small flies / gnats, but they still kept re-appearing. I also tried the gravel which you put on the top of the soil to make it difficult for them to get to the soil. However, these tablets were the gamechanger.I have had sighting of about 1 lone fly/ gnat (now no more) since I started watering my plants with this. I think this stops them being able to breed in the soil, so you may have a few until the current adult flies die back, but no new ones will replace them. I've kept my gravel and sticky traps for now, but haven't seen anything on them since using these tablets. Definitely recommend.

not as good as nematodes
I am on the second treament now and still have issues with gnats.Maybe I will get them all eventually as theres enough tablets for many treatments, would have been great value if they worked.nematodes are more pricey, but have much better results.

Great product
Small tablets you mix with water and then water your plants with. Simple to use.Better for summer use as you have to use ever 5-10 days for effective knat control, and don’t want to over water your plants.
