Did not come all regions... HERE is the instructions for the HACK!
Did not come programmed for all regions... I have DVD's from all over the world, so I was disappointed at first and started a return. HOWEVER, after two hours of research, I found a hack that WORKED! So I now recommend buying this. Use this code, it takes just a minute.1.Switch on the DVD player without any Disc inside2.The screen should display 'no disc'3.Eject to open the DVD tray4.While the tray is open, press the 'STOP' button then hold the 'ENTER' button for 5 seconds5. A new screen will appear (Regional Management Test Code) which will allow you to change the region code usingthe up and down arrow keys on the remote control.6. Change the code to '0' and press the PAUSE key to exit

Legit ALL region!
Easy to set up: Plug in power, plug in the RCA jacks that came with it, put the included battery in the remote, and voila! Ready to go. And to top it off, they included a photocopy of the instructions for changing the factory region settings to “ALL”. I had already copied the instructions from reviewer, B.B., so I was set, but since they were nice enough to include them in the box, I just followed theirs (after setting the language to English, first). Also, note that the directions mention things showing up on ”the display”. They mean on your tv screen. The DVD player, itself, has no display on the front. Worked like a charm! I tried a region 1 dvd, and a region 2. Both played perfectly. At $35, I feel ridiculous even bringing it up, but in the interest of a thorough review...the remote is not great (I have to REALLY press the buttons to get them to engage, sometimes more than once), and the picture isn’t super sharp. Like pre-HDMI. Which is fine. Again, for $35, I’m very happy with it. Would recommend to a friend.

but the picture quality on my TV is much better with this player than the $15 one from Walmart ...
I purchased this DVD player to watch a series that I hadn't realized was from Region 2 when I bought it. The player works perfectly for both the foreign DVD's that my US player wouldn't read and all of my normal USA/Region 1 DVDs. Not only that, but the picture quality on my TV is much better with this player than the $15 one from Walmart I had been using. I love that it is compact in size. You can power on and open/close the player from the front but do need the remote to do anything else (not a problem for me). Over all great purchase, works perfectly and was exactly what I needed!

This is a product that is manufactured in Russia and has no English instructions or information.
This DVD player is apparently manufactured in Russia. And all the written documentation including the information on the box is also in Russian. I called to get English instructions and got nowhere. I even attempted to contact LG and because I couldn't read the information they couldn't help me either. So I called back to Amazon and I filed a complaint. The agent stated that there were several reviews that this was a problem for other buyers. I was even more determined to file a complaint. What is Amazon thinking? To allow sellers to sell products which are not usable to English-speaking personnel. It also showed me that the higher up personnel in Amazon don't even care was their customers experience with the products they sell.

On the Last Day of Return Allowed!
When I first received the player it was fine with the one Region 2 dvd that I kept, now that my laptops don't have a dvd slot any longer. Happy with this, I went ahead and ordered a few more DVD sets from Europe. Two of them (ordered through Amazon) arrived today. To my horror, they would not play on the LG player. The screen displays a triangle with red border and exclamation mark, and next to it the message "Check regional code". This is true with the set that played ok a month ago! Well, that was why I purchased the player in the first place - so that I don't have to check the regional code.I admit I bought this player because it had a low price, but I did not intend it to be disposable after one use. The good reviews I read were a large part of the reason I got it. I'm thoroughly disappointed. It's time for DVD manufacturers to drop the region nonsense, especially now that so much content is available online anyway.

Not Region Code for US
FALSE ADVERTISING!!!!!! This is not a "region free" player as advertised. We live in the US and bought this unit for our travel trailer to be used when we travel. As luck would have it, I hooked it up two days after the return window closed. In hindsight, I should have just went to Walmart and bought one. Also, the instructions are not in English if you would need them.

Doesn't play right, says check region for Netflix!
I bought this because the description stated it was region free and could play movies from all over the world. I have a serious that I bought that is region 2 (seller in eBay lied was supposed to be region free). Haven't tried those yet, but this is the error I get just trying to watch Netflix from the US. Neither have worked, two disks from home have but the picture quality was terrible. Very dissatisfied, and normally I love LG. DON'T buy this, waste of money!

Picture is awful
I was so excited when I received this DVD player today, but I'm so unhappy about its quality that I've already initiated a return for a refund. The picture is awful. The photo comparison below is evidence: the fuzzy pics w/ the washed-out color are of a Region 2 DVD being played on this DVD player; the clear, full-color pics are of the same DVD being played on an external DVD drive connected to my desktop computer. So I will look for another multi-region DVD player and keep watching my Region 2 DVDs on my computer in the meantime.
