Our experienced, in-house engineering team, located in Olathe, Kansas, have spent countless hours simulating and developing the most efficient motor designs. Development includes magnetic simulations, custom winding techniques, and rigorous, real-world testing of the final product. We beefed up this design over a standard Castle 14xx series motor to handle the high demands of drag racing. It uses a 5mm output shaft, 12AWG wires and 6.5mm bullets. Due to the high-power nature of this motor it is imperative to use a 1/8th scale size ESC or larger. The Castle 1/8th Mamba Monster X and 1/6th scale Mamba Monster X 8s are great pairings with this motor. Due to the characteristics of this design your final drive ratio will need to be decreased (larger pinion/smaller spur) to get the RPMs up for top speed; due to the size of the motor it will take just about any gearing and CHEAT timing (adjustable through castle Link programming) you can throw at it. WARNING: Drag run setups are inherently abusive and extremely hard on all electronic components. Every component in the configuration can be strained, weakened (or worse) without using extreme caution, observance of electric theory and advanced knowledge of all aspects of the RC hobby. Drag racing are the most advanced, aggressive and volatile applications in the RC car hobby. Improper setup or use of this product can result in catastrophic failures of the motor, ESC and/or batteries. If you have any questions, just give us a call; we have real people right here in the USA ready to help you get the most (as safely as possible) from your setup. Motor dimensions are: Length: 62.5mm x Diameter: 36mm. Motor shaft is Length: 21mm x Diameter: 0.197" (5mm). Motor weight is 283 grams/ 9.98 oz
