I didn’t think I needed a new paddle but I have been pleasantly pleased with this! It’s helping my game. It’s a bit longer than my other paddle, it is lightweight and the grip is good. I am only a little past the beginner stage, so can’t really explain why it’s helping my game, but I like it.

I'm still somewhat new to pickleball and have been trying different paddles. I started with a cheap paddle just to see if I liked the sport and immediately changed to a better paddle. That was a significant step and well worth every penny!I've tried several Selkirk paddles and liked them but this one has been the best yet. It is a little heavier that others but doesn't fell overly cumbersome. The grip is very natural and comfortable. It is thick (which makes sense given the weight) which makes it very forgiving and easy to control the ball. If you are looking for a paddle that offers control, this one seems to be much better than others I have tried. At the same time, it still offers the power for long shots and smashes.I also like the rounded top, which gives a little extra change to reach those far shots without adding as much weight.Overall, this paddle just seems to fit more naturally, easy to grip, doesn't feel overly heavy and offers great control, especially for beginner-intermediates who are still honing their skills! I've only had the paddle for a few months so can't speak to longevity but it seems to be well-made so no reason to think it will break-down sooner than others.Definitely improved my game and well worth the price!

I'm a whack-a-mole player, happy to get it over the next and inside the lines. I never cared about the paddle. But having gone through at least a dozen, i have to say, the Joola Ben Johns Hyperion has made a noticeable difference to my game. The abrasion surface grabs the ball gives good control, the sweetspot is huge, the ball springs off without surprises. I've had paddles with so much pop that the ball goes sailing at the slightest touch, but this one reads your mind.

Great paddle for intermediate players. very durable and great value for the money. I took 2 silver and a bronze with this paddle for the first tournaments I played in.

Light, hits hard , creates lots of spin

I've been playing 3x a wk with this paddle and love it. It's got a good texture, nice sweet spot and great grip on the good size handle. I'm about a 3.0 player and would highly recommend this paddle for the price
