Impressive!!!
I’m old enough to remember when Japanese goods transitioned from being considered junk to being considered impressive. That was in the mid 60s. It started with motorcycles, and then it went on to electronic products. I’m wondering if a similar type of transition is occurring now with some Chinese goods? This radio would be a good example. It is really impressive. Very nice build quality. Excellent reception. Excellent sound quality. This thing is beautifully packaged, if you’re looking for a sexy inexpensive gift to give someone, look no further. I spent about a half hour playing with this thing, and I really love it. I’m thinking about whether I can justify buying a second one for myself. I had to give a bunch of gifts for graduation last month, and I’m regretting I didn’t give everyone one of these. The only concern I have is that the battery cover seems to come off very easily. If you threw this in a day pack, or a purse, the battery cover might come off and the battery might fall out. But part of what I love about this is that it does have a removable battery. I will likely put this in the drawer and not touch it for years, and I don’t have to worry about the device being ruined because the battery goes bad inside of it. At worst, I will just have to buy a new battery for it. I presume batteries of this type will be available for many years. This little thing is just downright sexy. It has all kinds of cute flashing lights, but it feels almost military grade in build quality. I bought a little Bluetooth speaker sometime ago that’s about the same size and looks very similar and it’s made of metal. That’s also beautifully done. But this is plastic, and as such lighter, and there’s a lot to be said for that as well.In the event the manufacturer reads my review, all I can say is that I encourage you to continue to build super high-quality products at a reasonable price. You build them, and I will buy them.

GREAT little radio, with great reception and sound! I'm impressed!
This little AM/FM/Shortwave radio is impressive, especially at it's low price! I primarily bought it for portability around the house, since I am an avid listener to NPR and rock radio on FM. I live in a major metro area (Cleveland), so I have no problem receiving all the local FM and AM stations. The sound is very full bodied and clear, both for talk radio and music. I can even receive some Shortwave stations, especially with the external 'clip on' antenna provided. For daytime reception, look to the higher frequencies, and for night-time reception, tune in the lower frequencies. Lastly, the battery lasts a long time. I've used it for days before having to re-charge it.UPDATE, September 2024: I absolutely LOVE this little radio! I brought it to Greece with me on vacation, and it picked up tons of FM stations! It's a sensitive radio, and when I was on some Greek Islands, it picked up stations from Turkey very clearly! It was really interesting to hear so much different music on the airwaves, as well as hearing how prevalent contemporary Western music is abroad. And this radio helped me brush up on my Greek language, just by listening to Greek talk radio stations. I am going to purchase another one, just to have as a backup in case this radio is discontinued or altered in design.

Works good, Sounds great! but Wish it had better battery life.
Works great and good I can take it fishing with me but The battery life is bad, Maybe can get 2 hours of battery life out of this.I purchased an extra lithium battery and rubber band it to the back of this radio so I can change out the dead battery for the charged battery on the fly, the charging takes awful long time though.Other thoughts!......Do not try placing Velcro behind to hold battery because when it comes for the time to change out the battery you won't be able to fit the clip-on door, Simple logic. But it's a good thing to have around an USB Battery charging packs with 10k to 20k and 40k battery charging bricks.I see these in the markets today for hiking and on the go with out any charging power source outlets and Solar charging is also nice but none I found that is solar charges quickly so it's always to have around two instead of one of these charging bricks because they charge vary poorly with out a house charging outlet.. I'm not sure how much energy goes through using the sunlight but in rainy days or winter days you can forget about using anything solar energy.Who in their right mind would fly a plane that is only powered by Solar and not think about clouds covering the sun. Dead by a single cloud. :(

Better than expected!
Really small, cute radio! I’m an old guy who enjoyed shortwave radios in my teen years! This isn’t exactly as good as my old Hallicrafters radio from the 1960’s, but is is much more sensitive and versatile than I expected. I’m very pleased with this purchase.
