I LOVE this label printer, seriously
As a small time seller, I was doing things old school for years - hand writing each label, stating in line at the post office, paying the retail shipping costs. It was fine for what I was doing - just a hobby/etra this and that.Nov. 2022 I thought about if I wanted to up my game a little, venture into a few newer markets, etc. The postal clerks were always saying "hey you know you can save if you do online shipping"... that planted the seed. Most of the printers out there were still doing the paper/ink wastefulness of using a 8x10 sheet of paper for something that only needs to be 6x4 inches - ugh too much waste and hassle isn't there something better? Digging around the web I kept seeing ROLLO pop up here and there. But didn't look seriously until I started digging around on Amazon. Well, after I viewed a few printer, Amazon sent me lots of "hey you checked this out, how about this one?" One had this unit, so I clicked curious to find out more.Well I found out that this one did check off some important features I thought I wanted:-small footprint-does just the label size 6x4 ...or smaller (maybe 2x3 or 4?) haven't tried anything but the 6x4 myself-gosh no INK - sign me up right now!!Then there were those neat features:-WIFI capable - don't know about you, but I LOVE the FREDOM of being cable less. I can be in one room on the other side of the house as the printer, and BING! does it's job... priceless!! As long as I'm in the wifi range I can print from anywhere - computer, cell phone, tablet... oh yeah I've even gone the "I'm too lazy to get out of bed at this moment" however I can do still do a tiny bit of work by clicking print and it's ready to go to the next phase when I get around to it, lol - ah, modern conveniences.-Came with some sample labels so I could start printing right away the moment I opened the box, nice touch thanks!-It's Mac friendly, dons't matter that much these days as it did several years ago - but it's nice to have that support across all the systems - android, windows, Mac, google, etc? I used so many systems they all have they good/bads I tended to stick more to the Mac side since it was more of the music/art stuff I was into when computing than crunching numbers/databases/programming. But I would imagine if it works this well on the Mac I'm sure it's just as nice if not better? in the windows world - not tech guy though and currently don't use much else than my iPhone, MacBook and occasional tablet. The price:- Yes, I do admit this one was a hard one to decide on. In Nov '22 it was more than it is now, maybe because it was newer at that time? That price point wasn't out of reach for me (well the credit limit on my card lol), but I did have to make every penny count for several months as it was not something I can just drop $300 on a moments notice. After I got through the wild holiday season, I knew this one was the absolute right purchase for me. Not only did that $300 come right back in that short sales session/madness (Yes I LOVE me some Christmas, LOL) but I had more than doubled my business, just with the help of this little printer. I got to the point where I found the max amount of items I can personally handle a day realistically, and its actually about 2/3rds MORE sales per day than where I was a year ago before this printer. Worth it? YEP NO QUESTION!!!If you're on the fence, jump off now and go for it. Some ways I kick myself for not doing it earlier, however I think this one came along at just the right time for me and now I know what exactly I want in a label printer. This one checks all the marks and then some. I did learn a ton from doing things the old school way, and for some things that works perfectly. but now I go this. No more lines, cheaper rates than retail out there (just do your homework first before jumping into a "great offer you can't pass up") - even Rollo has their own service via app/web that offers those same great rates plus connects to channels - I however have not used those features yet, not sure if those apply to my specific needs or not. However nice to have them should those needs arise someday. If you're on a tight budget like me, it might hurt at first - I'm okay with eating "top ramen" for a month if needed. If I were in a position to have more than one, you bet I would - but that's only in fantasy land, real world you gotta pay your bills AND eat - one is enough!I will be purchasing Rollo printers, they have proven to be a quality unit. Well worth the investment. It's not cheap, but when you need packages to get there and be consistent, do you really want to cheap out? Not me. The labels I got through amazon "9527 Product" work very well, stick nicely to all box surfaces, and are priced nicely as well. I'll keep going to them for the labels, here on amazon they do have some great deals which can be a nice bonus, but well worth the reg price @ .02/label.Thanks Rollo and Amazon!! Happy customer!! :)

Don’t waste your time with ANYTHING else
I just want to take a second and thank this company for putting a product on the market that actually works without hours of configuration, tweaking, setting up, and constantly changing.Words can’t express how easy this thing is to set up. Out of the box, plug it in, connect to WiFi, and you’re ready to print within 5 minutes. The first label I printed came out perfectly. Centered on the label, fit proportionately to the label, clear, smooth, and completely legible. It works like any other large printer, and is listed as a printer selection on my Mac, iPad, and iPhone. I can’t speak to how this would work for PC, or Android. But it works flawless with Apple products. To say this is worth the extra money is the understatement of the year. If you don’t want to mess with a ton of settings, configurations, or waste time connecting to your printer. Don’t buy anything else. You WILL be disappointed. Spend the extra few bucks and get the Rollo! This is the 3rd or 4th label printer I have tried. And will most certainly be the last. I am absolutely blown away at the quality of the device, their app, and interface. Every other printer, or company that makes these things should be ashamed of themselves. Unless you enjoy fiddling with software to get things just right, don’t bother with the other turds on the market. It takes quite a bit to impress me as much as this little thing has. Rollo, you have made a tried and true fanboy/customer for life! I was not compensated, coerced, encouraged, or asked to write this. I paid full retail for this printer, and would do it again in a heartbeat!

Rollo LIes - NO "Rollo" Shipping Discount. 5 cent Charge Per Tracking Number To Use Their Software
Rollo claims a massive (up to 90%) "Rollo" shipping discount as a centerpiece of their marketing, but it is a lie. They provide NO discount. The carriers offer such discounts directly without Rollo. I have had the USPS commercial discount for years at USPS and that is available to ANY BUSINESS OR INDIVIDUAL that uses the USPS click-n-ship portal or other online method. For example, when I purchased a priority mail flat rate label through Rollo, they charged $8.05 - exactly what is charged through USPS click-n-ship - but Rollo reports a $1.60 savings for that transaction in their ship portal because they compare their price to the retail consumer price if you go into a USPS facility ($9.65). That is not a fair computation for business customers that were printing their labels at work or home - likely most rollo customers. The same is true with the other carriers. For example, a Fedex faq states "If you’re shipping items you sell, you qualify for a business account, no matter the quantity or frequency. That includes selling on platforms like Etsy and eBay. With a business account, there’s no Employer Identification Number required, and you get access to special discounts, dedicated sales support, and exclusive rewards." The whole discount claim is a scam.Furthermore, they charge 5 cents per "tracking number" if you use their software which is necessary for their printer to integrate with carriers and sales channels for shipping. You pay for the printer, the labels, and the carrier fee which includes the tracking fee, but they want a 5 cent per tracking number for what? This is not software requiring heavy duty R&D and ongoing maintenance, it formats the label for the printer. They claim that this cost is "easily" covered by the Rollo savings, but there is no Rollo savings as explained above. I think its reasonable to expect the simple enabling software to be included for free.It seems like a decent printer (I just bought it), but I am put off by the shamelessly dishonest company. I tried communicating this to them through several iterations, but they seem to think comparing with the consumer retail prices if you go into the carrier facility is the reasonable way to compute "savings" even though this product is targeted towards business customers. And they seem to think its not deceptive to call it a "Rollo" savings.Alex
