Air Compressor Filter, Metal Air Compressor Intake Filter Sound Muffler 20mm Thread (1/2"PT 20mm)

Perfect intake air filter. This product deserves an AAA+++ rating because it puts the expensive machine first. Fit perfect on my Porter Cable. I replaced the two that came on my new Porter Cable with two of these. My response to other posts: The holes are there for a reason. If you restrict airflow by plugging or eliminating the holes, yes it is quieter, but it strains the compressor, makes the motor and compressor work harder, and wears both out faster. Noise? Get PPE ear protection from Amazon. Compressors need air, and they make noise. Thread sealer is unnecessary, and the compressor's heat will make a mess of the Teflon tape. See photo.

Did not fit

I have an old (over 20 years) industrial air compressor that needed replacement air filters. These fit perfectly and are working great!

I ordered this to replace one of the two air filters on my quiet tech air compressor that was missing for some reason. It fits good, but severely lacks the suppressing capability of the other 'stock' filter that it has. You can plug two of the three intake holes that it has and that will help a lot, but on its own it's not fantastic.

This might reduce the noise level a bit, but other parts make much more noise than air intake. It’s job is to filter the intake air; should work well. Don’t think this would work well on a large compressor; not enough intake holes.

The threads on this were to big for my needs, then I found by using plyers that this was easy to open and remove the filter to place inside of my exiting one. Works great!
