Batman: Earth One Complete Collection

This has been my favorite comic book so far. We all know that story, but here we have great details, personalities and off course the beautiful and super cool graphic art on this book.Totally recommend this to any Batman fan. Totally worth it with no regrets. I will look forward for the next one.

This was amazing. Although it's certainly a more modern batman story, it has it's own unique glamor to it that truly does attract me to it. The art is insanely good. The attention to detail is jawdropping; you can immediately tell that the author is actually passionate about his art and is passionate about conveying Batman's story to the greatest extent (unlike the washed out comic artists that do it purely for the cash). Its telling of batmans origins really ties his character together and explains so, so much without leaving any gaping plot holes. Insane!

A great fresh take on Batman with incredibly gorgeous art. The particular twist it tries to make shocking doesn't quite have the effect the author may have wanted but it's not terrible either. It's only a shame it never got more as it has my favorite take on the Clown Prince of Crime.

Batman’s origin story is likely one of the most rehashed in the DC universe.Johns’ retell is fantastic. Reintroducing allies and villains new and familiar, Earth One tells the story of The Batman’s rise in a way that kept me turning the pages. It’s well-written and drawn and establishes itself firmly in the Bat-universe. Bullock’s character is treated with a care that I especially appreciated, and I thought it really demonstrated the way Johns might feel how Gotham tarnishes everyone who sets foot in it.

I cannot emphasize enough how absolutely incredible this is! Geoff Johns never disappoints. In a world saturated by the "origin" story, I wasn't too sure about this at first. I mean, how many times can we see how Batman becomes Batman? But this soooo much more than that. This is fresh and exciting! This SHOULD have been the source material for the Batman remake. I love the new take on each and every character. This is not only a fantastic read, it is one of the better Batman stories out there as a whole.The only problem I have is that it ended.

This Batman story is empathetic, realistic, logical, beautiful, tragic and uplifting. Its a story of Bruce Wayne the man the struggle and freedom that comes from his quest to save Gotham and battle his own personal demons. People this is a story you wont regret reading. The bar is raised which each subsequent volume and the characters costume redesigns are stunning from killer croc to the Riddler. Its a treat to have all 3 in one set, I had to wait a decade for these to come out one by one.

I loved the reading of this book and how they made it more realistic. I also loved how they changed some characters, it gave the characters a new dynamic between one another. Great stuff, I would definitely recommend anyone reading it.

I'm not going to get into some massively detailed review, but I will just simply say that this entire collection is near perfect. It baffles me that DC didn't bother continuing this part of their universe. For the price, this collection gives you an incredibly well written, intense, dark and foreboding world where Batman is turns from an amateur in over his head to the dark knight we know and love. A lot of characters get a slight reimagining and it works in pretty much every case. If you're new to comics, I think this is a perfect place to start. It is a large, and very well detailed but self contained story. 100% recommend.
