Quality Built; Easy to Install & Use
This dimmer controls 7, Lumitec Nautilus https://www.amazon.com/Nautilus-Piling-Light-Bronze-Spectrum/dp/B084BW4J6M and 6, Focus SL-07-SM-LEDM-BRS piling lights on my dock with a 4.5 amp draw. The Lumitec LED's are very bright at full intensity (see pic). These particular Lumitec lights have an array of features that allows for full intensity white, color spectrum, or single color lighting. They are somewhat complicated to program if desiring to change between different color options. By example, the default position is to revert to full intensity white light whenever they come on unless programmed to permanently change to a 25%, 50% or 75% intensity level which requires 30 toggles in a certain pulsating sequence. LED lights and dimmer compatibility can be tricky but worked out this time. This dimmer's turn knob makes the process so much easier (270 deg. turn). If at a later time I want to switch to a particular color light always turning on each time, I'll mount a toggle switch beside the Leisure Lectronics dimmer as a way to program the lights, and after that's done, use the dimmer to control the light intensity.Consider how this device will be mounted as it is quite long. Overall, it's about 4". The stem is just short of 1" although you may not want the stem sticking out its full length (supplied nuts allow adjustment). Usually, this shouldn't pose a problem if it's a console mount (e.g., instrument panel). If wall mounting, you'll need to find one with a 4" depth with few options available.I'm glad to identify this timer as it led me to look at Leisure Lectronics website. If you boat or fish, they have several other hard-to-find electrical devices such as bait aerator timers and a boat intermittent windshield wiper switch. Limited selection but unique and useful products.

Works Great with 50 ft 12v LED Lighting.
Used this on a travel trailer to control 12v external LED 50 ft rope lighting. I'm super happy with the range of dim and bright this switch provides. At a quarter-turn from the OFF position, the lights are pleasantly dim and only drawing ~0.2 amps. At three-quarters turn the lights are super bright and drawing ~1 amp. I like knowing I can boondock with the lights dimmed to discourage critters from setting up camp under the trailer and not have any appreciable impact on battery life. You get what you pay for, and this item is well worth the expense.

Perfect dimmer switch for 32 feet of LED strip lighting on my boat (Two 16' lengths run in parallel)
This is an excellent dimmer switch for LED strip lighting. It controls two 16' 4" waterproof LED strip lights on my fishing boat. The dimmer switch is waterproof. Dimming capability is exceptional - I'm able to control light brightness from barely lit to full brightness. There's no choppiness as I adjust the brightness through it's entire range. There's no flicker. And the dimmer switch is cool to the touch. Very solidly built switch as well. Recommendation: If your running two 16' LED strip lights (which the 7 amp rating of this switch will handle very well), do not run the two 16' LED Strips in series. Due to the thin wiring in the LED strip lights, the voltage drop will result in a significant reduction in LED brightness as it travels through the 32 foot length. Instead, run the two light strips in series (connect each 16' LED strip to the dimmer switch). This results in no discernible loss of voltage and the LED's are of equal brightness throughout. This switch is built like electronic components were built 40 years ago - no cheap plastic; solid as a rock.

Works Well on Boat But Time Will Tell Regarding Durability
I bought an earlier version of this product several years ago to dim instrument and switch lights on my boat dash panel during nighttime use. It worked well at first but after several years of very occasional use (maybe 40 hours total) it failed completely. I bought this new version rated for LED use since it would be an easy swap out. Rather pricey but seems well made so maybe the frist was a fluke. Hope this one lasts longer...

Accurately rated, works great as described, easy to wire, no flickering
I first tried the most popular dimmer: the first unit burned out and the second got so hot the metal dial burned my fingers when I went to use it. It was rated above the amperage of my LED lights! This dimmer is PERFECT. Super clearly labeled wiring, works perfect and doesn’t get hot with my 3.75A lights. No flickering of my lights either. I’m using it to dim LED running lights on my truck. It looks large and heavy in photos but it’s plastic so still very lightweight and easily had room behind my dash.

Best dimmer available
It's hard to find a quality dimmer switch for 12v lighting. As far as I've found, this is the best there is. It does take up a lot of space behind the wall so make sure there is plenty of room.

Works perfectly and worth the extra $
This is a very well built dimmer and works perfectly. Previously I had purchased a different 12V DC RV dimmer by PCA that has very thin wires and the dimmer box itself is tiny. The first one I installed from PCA worked fine. However the 2nd/3rd ones did not work. Then I bought this dimmer. I am very happy with this new dimmer as you can tell it is high quality and worth the extra $10.

Just leaves lights constantly on
I was impressed with quality looking product. I wired exactly as instructed and my boat instrument lights stay constant brightness. No on/off or dimming capability. Probably have a bad switch but since the lights are at least on I’m leaving installed. OBW I am a retired EE so it’s wired right
