The Pros: Its a nice looking case and fits well on my phone ( I-phone 7). The edges are well raised and it looks like it will do a decent job of protecting the screen from damage if it were dropped.The Cons: Case is NOT wood, but rather a plastic or poly-carbonate material (read the full description below the headline). And as others have said it is slippery smooth. It wont stay setting on furniture armrests or any slightly sloped surface. And I feel as if it will easily slip out of my grip.Summary: I'll use it until it wears out or I get annoyed with it, but it's not a great case for me. I'm sure I'll replace it soon.

I have the wood design which, 3.5 years later, is fading significantly from obvious wear. I recently got a new phone (this case still fits the iphone SE), and am looking for a new case and I want to buy this same one, maybe new design..so that speaks to my 5 star review.I agree that it is a bit slippery, a ring grip would be helpful. The reason that I love this case is that i have dropped my phone hundreds of times in over 3 years and it does not have a scratch on it. I have dropped this phone on rocks, concrete, down stairs, etc... never broken or cracked with this case on it.

I really want to love this case. I've had loads of compliments since getting it. I don't mind that the wood grain appears a little more "washed out" than what is pictured, and that it really doesn't look exactly like real wood. It does feel really sturdy and has done a good job so far keeping my phone safe from bumps and bruises. My biggest complaint is the overall outer texture is TOO smooth - I feel like it's constantly slipping out of my hands! I just wish it had a bit more texture to it to make it a safer grip.

We initially bought this case as a lightweight option to a second case that was a heavy duty armored monstrosity, but this case is actually quite substantial and we ended up sending back the overkill monstrosity and just using this one all the time. It's a really nice balance of protection and aesthetics, and my son really likes the hood grain pattern / colors. I still might get him a holster for it to better protect the screen when it's in his backpack.

I have had this case for almost a year and I love it! I always go with a two layer hybrid case for my phones and I chose this one because of the great look. It had kept my phone completely damage free, which is saying something because I drop my phone about once a day at various angles on various surfaces. The case it’s self is a bit worn and scuffed for the ware and dropping but my phone is damage free and so is the tempered glass screen protector thanks to the raised edge. I don’t have any trouble hitting any of the keys because of it. The only thing is that the case is hard to get off, so if you wanted to take it on and off a lot that might be a problem.

Plastic case looks wooden, but the illusion is shattered if it gets a scratch. Looks pretty cool otherwise. Locks up well aside from a white scratch ruining the look only down side is it only hold 2 cards including your id. Wish the card capacity was a couple cards more.

Color is better in the photo than it is in person!In person the whole phone has a washed out green tone to it (i know half of it is supposed to be green), leaving the wooden half looking very fake and not like wood at all.As a case it is well made and functional, but i will be buying a new one as i really wanted that wood look :(

I love the case. It does dull out after awhile of using it, but I think it gives it character. It is a really slippery case. I ended up switching cases because it’s so smooth and slippery.
