LG Tone Ultra HBS-820 Bluetooth Wireless Stereo Headset - Black

I did all the usual checks on this one when I bought it. The JBL HBS810 I had was excellent audio quality as is par for the course for JBL but the mic was terrible. People were always complaining they couldn't hear me so I gave up using it for phone calls and just used it for music. For this BT, again the sound quality was superior AND the mic was excellent. I confirmed with one caller and she said I sounded great like every other BT she's ever listened to if not better. I never heard complaints about the mic again.The only issue is the BT tech goes bad after a couple of years and the headset starts dropping its connection often. I'll have to get a new LG/JBL and I've been bitten twice by LG tech but there's nothing I can do about that. JBL is second to none. PERIOD. I've used Plantronics, Jabra, JVC, Powerbeats and Apple (not air pods) but nothing stands up to LG/JBL duo for quality and affordability.

I bought this set to replace a previous LG headset model that I currently have which is wearing down some. This unit is very nice, solidly built and it looks good. Functionally, it works very well. It seems to essentially have the same electronic innards that my older model has, just in an updated and more sturdy shell. I haven't had any issues with the microphone like others have described.The only reason I'm taking off one star and giving it a four star rating is because the wire leads for the earbuds themselves are not long enough. I wanted to upgrade to this newer unit because I liked the retractable earbuds, but I can't run while wearing these as the main unit yanks down on the earbuds as it bounces on my shoulders and it's quite uncomfortable, even while the leads are fully extended. My older model has longer leads and they have plenty of slack to keep from disturbing the earbuds while running, even as the main unit bounces a bit.

These are a decent pair of headsets. They operate like they should and I didn't have any difficulty paring them with my phone. They function perfectly. People can hear me and I can hear them clearly through the speaker. The recoiling earbuds is a great feature and the main reason why I purchased the headset. The only disadvantages I found were the ear buds and the stereo sound. The earbuds stay in my ear but don't seem as secure as I would've liked. Also the lines seem like they should be slightly longer as they seem to max out too quickly. As for stereo sound, it seems like it doesn't contain as much bass as the LG HBS-730 which were my previous set. When listening to music I hear more vocal than bass. Other than that, its a decent pair of headsets.

This is the best in terms of phone call quality (that I've used/ tested in over 10 years of searching for the perfect Bluetooth headset for phone calls) and yet I'm unimpressed. A lot of people still say they can barely hear me.Given the "unicorn rarity" of the perfect phone call making (around the neck design) Bluetooth headset, if I had to replace the one I currently have, this will be my go to.It's designed very well and the controls are intuitive and easy to reach and use. I also find the cords long enough (unlike some others that are too short) and think they will stand the test of time. My baby loves to pull on them when I carry him and forget to take the headset off first. He holds on tenaciously to the cords until I can finally pry them out of his hands, yet they're still functioning very well.If you're an audiophile and music has to sound extraordinarily perfect, then this is certainly not for you (I didn't buy it for music so I really don't care about that).

Awesome~! I have tried 2 other LG Tone models, one being a old 730, which I liked because of the design and long battery with long range. I wanted all that with better sound quality, I tried the hbs900 and was very disapointed! sound quality was slighty better , not a lot but battery was very lacking and volume was dumbed down very low. I also hated the very stiff solid around the neck hard plastic design. I think I found what I wanted with these 820s. I had a feeling about the JBL from get go, but yes sound quality is top notch, loudness without distortion is to my satisfaction and battery is better then old 730s, going over 12hrs for me. range is shorter then 730s, says 33 ft I believe I think after 12 it's getting spottty, however not a big issue. battery and sound quality (trust the jbl name) and old school neck band that is comfortable these are outstanding! I'll buy this model again when my current one gets worn out as I use very heavily.

I have an HSB 820 that has an external speaker which I love. You don’t need the ear piece to listen and has a choice between earpiece and external speaker.This one only has the ear pieces

Sound is great. The JBL drivers are awesome, great bass, crisp clear highs. Battery life is nuts, it goes for days. If I push them hard it's like 2 days, but if I use them like an average amount I still get 4-5 days before I need to charge. Great functionality with all the buttons. Volume up/down, track skip/rewind, hang up/call/google assistant button, and play/pause. The retractable buds are good quality, and the cord is nice and thin so you don't really feel it tugging on your ear. I'd highly recommend. Price is a bit high but if you wait for a good sale you can get them for 35-40 bucks and they're for sure worth at least that much. I had the HBS-800's before this and used them daily for about 4 years. Still running today, just upgrading for the slightly better battery life that comes with a new set.

I like my old one, HBS-810 and nothing was wrong until I lost it! :( I purchased this one, HBS-820 and the sound quality is at least as good as the old one. I don't know how the battery life or durability of this product yet but I assume it should be as good as the old one (HBS-810), which I used for more than a year.I would like to thank and recommend the seller, Flodis. I purchased online on 10/17, and it supposed to arrive on 10/23 - 10/25. However, today, 10/19, I received my order. It's so quick and the order came in as described.
