My nine year old built this on his own, its a really great set that you can have as a standalone set or use as a starter set to build upon within the lego space theme. We have already looked at the other sets that go with this. It's a large model once built and has lots of fun details such as a pull down bed in the sleeping area, fun mechanisms that bring the solar panels up and down. He really loved the rock that breaks open and can be lifted by the claw. Worth the price and looks great on display.

Great design, cool features. Don’t like how the solar panels falling feature don’t think it makes sense

Nice Lego, little one is into Space at the moment so loved this. Took some time to build so kept him occupied for a few days. I would recommend you stick to the recommended age as it is slightly tricky to build.
