I have an older small dog who was gaining weight and it was affecting the arthritis in her leg. I switched to this dog food that’s supposed to maintain weight and it seems to be working great for her. She is about 14 pounds she likes the taste of it although I do add a topper to her food. Even though this is a good dog food, the price is right for us.

Love this Blue Buffalo kibble. Both of my dogs enjoy it. The bag does last me more than a month. I have two dogs, but they also eat string beans and fresh apples and boiled eggs.... so this bag does last me a little more than a month. It Is definitely worth $16 I get it on subscription so I do save a little. I like this healthy weight version of Blue Buffalo. I want the 1-year-old Yorkshire Terrier to eat a nice serving ....but I trim back a little for the older one 13 - 14 lb Shih Tzu mix because she's getting a little heavy. So follow the instructions on the back if you want your dog to shed a pound or two. I find that this Dog Food Works well for both of my dogs👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The media could not be loaded. Blue Buffalo Life Protection for small dogs is the only food we feed our miniature dachshund now. He loves it. The consistency, size, dryness, and texture are perfect for him. The ingredients are good and he’s had no allergies to this. If anything, his skin seems less itchy than before eating this. Also, he seems to digest it well and it seems to really agree with his stomach which is awesome since some foods seem to upset his stomach. We’ll continue to repurchase this for our little guy.

My dog likes this food. Coming from Freshpet. He eats the food with no problem. I cant see any weight loss after 2 bags and he get less than suggested amnt

We put my mini schnauzer on this food because our vet said he is a bit too heavy. When he went back he was actually surprised that he had lost weight with just this one change. We have been feeding a half cup every morning and evening. The dog seems to love the taste and it doesn’t smell bad like wet food does. I put it on subscription and when he’s at his ideal weight it says he can have a little more for maintaining his weight. I have it delivered every three weeks so I never run out. It lasts about 4 weeks for us, but I like knowing we have plenty of, and this small bag fits in my limited cabinet space perfectly. I highly recommend!
