Well made and the instruction manual is also much better than many I have received with Amazon products. It comes with everything you need to have emergency power except for the fuel. This is a quality machine, delivered next day with free prime shipping and reasonably priced. After break-in it will even run my water heater. Trust me, that’s a huge plus in the winter after 4 days with no power and no shower. My only “complaint” is it doesn’t automatically come with wheel kit, but thats easy enough to order on its own.

Great generator, it helped me through the power outage from Helene. Kept running for 4 days in a row without a hiccup. Compared to the 9.5 KW I was borrowing, the 6,600/5,300 Watt model uses way less gas (5-6 gal/day), powering some basic appliances (fridge, TV/internet, a 120 W lamp). Also, way less noisy than the larger model.The storm had flooded my basement, as the sump pump went down with the outage. Not happening next time!Nice instructions, including engine maintainance instructions.

This generator has plenty of bang for your buck. During Hurricane Helene we were struggling on a borrowed generator, but now we can rest assured we are prepared for the next central Ga storm with our new Westinghouse Generator. I like that you can do the traditional running of a drop cord to your house or wire directly into your home with a transfer switch. The dual fuel feature is great, during the aftermath of Helene it was so hard to find gasoline, but super easy to find propane cylinders to swap out. My wife enjoys the east startup with the push start and remote fob, and I enjoy the easy setup and variety of features. Definitely would buy again, hopefully not for another 10 years though.

The impact to the frame during shipping was significant point impact. This impact had to have been many hundreds of pounds. The function of the generator appears to be working well. The break in is going well. Easily pulls my RV summertime air-conditioning load with no Harmonic distortion effect on the sensitive digital electronics such as wifi/alexa/smart switches.Running strong no problems. Starts every time 3 months now

Managed to Order this just ahead of an Ice Storm in Dallas.This Genny saved my bacon. Managed to get it through a good break in period before the storm hit.The Unit arrived quickly and undamaged, the Starter battery was still pretty well charged so this unit was ready fire up right out of the box.It started right up on first button press and I ran it through several hours of break-in and oil changes.As with any portable generator its KEY to do this break in, and I DO recommend changing the oil after the break in.It helps flush out any impurities, and manufacturing debris so that you protect your Genny investment!Noise: The level is about what you'd expect from a unit this size and when its ouside away from the house a safe distance, its about as loud as a Vacuum cleaner in another room with the door closed.Best Features: Remote start keyfob is great and I love the dual fuel option since I always have a few Propane bottles hanging about! Also i've found the Fuel gauge on top to be pretty accurate.Important to note: Its not small even for a Genny in the middle of their range and is a two-person lift, so plan on ordering a Wheel kit (the 5300DF does not come w/ wheels) if you plan on treating it as a "portable" unit.All in all i'm very satisfied and glad i purchased!

While not a cheap date this unit offers the option to use either gas or propane, as well as putting out 110v or 240v. Opening and setting this unit up, I'm impressed with the build quality. Added oil, fuel and gave the battery an hour to charge up. She fired up at the push of a button and the auto choke functioned as expected. I only ran this for an hour to start the 5 hour break in. I'll run for an hour or 2 the next couple of days to deal the deal.The one downside, for the price I'd really expect the wheel set to be included. I'll have to order at another$80 to be able to move this beast around.

Received the gernerator on Jan 27th. Just got around to checking it out the first of May. Will start when the chord is pulled but the electric start does not work. Just makes a buzzing sound. After working with customer suport, it was determined that the battery was bad. BUT the battery is NOT under warranty. What a great 3 year warranty. NOT... Generator does not work properly on arrival and Westinghouse will not warranty the battery.

Generator came UPS boxed sufficiently with no damage. I intend to use mine on propane only since i have a large storage tank. I connected it to my house gas line that is already pressure regulated for the furnace (did not use the included regulator) and it started right up. Surprisingly the manual choke seems to sense the temperature of the engine and adjust for cold start on its own. It only had to run for about 10 sec and it smoothed out. Wasn't as loud as i thought it would be, but i'm sure once it's quiet outside it will seem louder. I live in the country so that is not an issue for me. The unit is heavy and needs wheels, which aren't included. it has the bracket holes for wheels and a handle, but unfortunately the company does not have them in stock at this time. In time i will need to find a way to transport it from storage in my shop to the house, especially in snowy, slick weather. So far i really like the generator and time will tell if it holds up. It has a 3 yr warranty and seems to be well built. i would recommend this especially for those that need dual fuel, 240volt applications.
