I thought I didn’t want this huge cutter, but boy was I wrong ! This monstrosity is easy to use and is essential for cutting those huge apples sold at Publix.

Once you align the apple correctly, it works as expected. I just used it to core and cut 100 pounds of apples. The soft apples do not cut completely (a few pieces are still attached). Very large apples fit this slicer which other brands do not. All in all, I would recommend this product. I have a 3rd rack in my dishwasher and use it to clean.

Like the fact that it doubles slices from a standard cutting

I like the design....the base is created to allow the cutter to go all the way through the bottom of the apple.The cutter cuts into 16 slices and I no longer have to slice my apples thinner after using apple cutter.It is also handy when you need to slice apples for apple pie, just the right size slices for baking

The seller contacted me regarding my review on this product. This item just wasn't for me. Others may give it 5 stars. I must say the product is really well made and good quality. It just didn't work the way I wanted it too. Also the seller of this item was very responsive and tried to help solve my problem. Not all merchants on Amazon has this level of customer service. That alone is worth giving them and their products a try. Good merchants deserve patronage.I don't understand why this product got such high ratings. Perhaps if this were 12 blades instead of 16 it would be better. I have been using large size Gala apples. It handles the size very well. However, you need more pressure to cut through the apple. It does not cut all the way through the apple as the advertisement states. The blades aren't as shape as I though. The apple peel at the bottom stays intact and on every apple and I need to peel the apple peel off the bottom of the blade, at the bottom some of the apple slices break and get stuck in the blades. As a result this device is hard to clean. I sometimes have to take a knife and push the broken pieces of apple out of the blades. This may work well if you are coring peeled apples for baking an apple pie, but if you are using it to core a peeled apple for snacks it's a nuisance. Sorry, it looks good but I would not recommend it for snacks.

My wife loves fruit, but has wanted an easier way to cut apples. She was so pleased with this device!

I did not have strength sufficient to drive the corer/slicer through an average size Gala apple. I am able to make an initial cut, but cannot push the slicer through the apple. I am using a similar product: one without the 3 piece hard plastic guide attachment and can make it work by making the initial cut and driving the apple and attached slicer HARD onto a cutting board. This product, with the additional guide frame will NOT work for anyone but a "superman".

I would have given it a 5-star review, but we would have preferred it was a 12-wedge slicer instead of an 8-wedge. Makes the wedges too wide. Otherwise, we love it.

This slicer is bigger than most so will accommodate larger apples. So easy to use with the side guides .

I don’t even know how to rate this. I bought it for apples but we like firm crisp apples and I don’t have the strength to use it. I have arthritis in one wrist and just can’t use it. However…. It works great on onions lol👍😁
