Duralex Lys 9 cm Stacking Bowl, Pack of 6, Glass, 4-3/8 oz

These bowls are a delight to use. They feel light but substantial. They nest in a stable stack when stored. I cannot think of how they could be improved, other than to offer a wider variety of sizes.

I bought these to hold ingredients for cooking, such as spices and liquids. They are perfect for this task. The bowls appear well constructed, clean up perfectly in the dishwasher or under the sink faucet, and they hold a lot of product. They stack up well in my cupboard when not in use-they take up very little space (I can fit all six of them. stacked, between a stack of dishes. I view the bowls of high quality, yet they are light in weight (they don't easily tip over either). If I needed another set of bowls for my prep cooking I wouldn't hesitate to buy these again. They're a good buy, for the price, and the quality. Buy 'em.

We use these for many things. Using as a prep bowl or a dipping bowl are how these are used but these are also good for holding small portions of snacks and fit comfortably in the palm of your hand.

Ordered these 4oz. bowls after receiving the smaller 2oz size from another supplier. They arrived in bubble wrap with no company packaging, unlike the smaller bowls I received. Each bowl is stamped with the Duralex logo and has the Duralex removable sticker on the bottom, but one bowl has an imperfection in the in the rim and another is double stamped with the logo on the bottom. Curious about the differences in packaging between the 2oz and 4oz bowls, I explored the "Visit the Duralex Store" link provided on the Amazon page. The same set costs more there, but all the Duralex marketing info is displayed, as was shown when ordering the 2oz size. While these 4oz bowls have a "new" label, they appear to be factory seconds from this supplier (Yummy Dutch).

We had a similar set that slowly were broken over the years. We generally use them for ketchup, jam, honey, soy sauce, etc... basically a small, single serve dipping bowl. Sometimes we put them in the dishwasher and sometimes just wash by hand. Use them regularly.

These bowls have many uses around the kitchen (and the house). We use them for everything from prepping for cooking, to collecting shells while eating nuts, to holding dog treats around the house. The last use combined with a new dog has occupied a number of them, prompting me to order a new 6-pack.

This set of Duralex tempered glass stacking bowls arrived within a bubble-padded shipping envelope. One bowl has a small scratch but otherwise the surfaces are smooth. A few bowls have "squiggles" in the glass which appear to be embedded stresses. This is not evident in my tempered glass bowls from Luminarc and Anchor Hocking.The listing describes each bowl in ounces or quarts, but the bowls are designed with metric capacities. The 7oz, 1qt, and 2.5qt bowls are about right; the others are a little off. It probably won't make much of a difference but it is something to know if using the bowls for measuring ingredients."1oz" is actually 35mL = 1.2oz"2oz" is actually 70mL = 2.4oz"4oz" is actually 125mL = 4.2oz"1/2qt" is actually 500mL = 16.9oz

These are perfect prep containers and are the genuine Duralex. The raised printing is on the outside of the bottom of the bowls and are made in France, not knock offs made in China that I have seen other places!
