My sensitive face loves this stuff!
First off, I'll be honest and say I read reviews way more than I write them. Although I find them helpful, I am usually too busy (or lazy) to write my own. However, when something really stands out for the good or bad, I like to let people know. When that something involves my face... I felt it a must to share. Now if you're still with me, I'll get to the actual review. I have very temperamental skin on my face. The wrong cleanser, toner, setting spray, etc. and my whole face is dried out and flaky after only a couple uses. The wrong moisturizer, primer, foundation, etc. and I'm suddenly broke out like I'm going through puberty again. It's very hard for me to find a good balance and any negative effects seem to hit me quickly. This moisturizer is one of the few things I've found over the years that my face likes. It has cleared up any dryness or flaking without making my skin oily. I have not had any issues with breakouts from this lotion. I'm not saying it magically cures acne, I still get the occasional blemish... but this product itself has caused no breakouts. I live in Central IL and began using this in March. We had a fairly mild winter so I can't fully attest to its abilities in the harsh dry winter. But it is now nearly August and currently over 100° daily. Even in this disrespectful weather, this moisturizer has not become "too much" for my face. I bought this after trying something else that caused horrible breakouts. I have been pleased with this product and will definitely be sticking with it. Also, I must note that after almost 5 months of daily use, my jar isn't even half empty yet. A little goes a long way and bonus: it feels great too! Not sticky and sets in quickly so I can get on to the next steps of putting my face on. If you're still here, I hope this review helps you. This may also be why I don't have time to often write reviews, this has gone on far too long.

Hydration
You can feel hydrating skin as soon as you apply. Loved that it's not oily.

Lightweight, water-based moisture
I have to say, I’ve been more focused on skincare for my face especially for maybe the past 5-6 years. Edging on almost 40, I felt it was time to look more critically at what skin care I am using especially since I’ve had 2 kidney transplants and feel better knowing I am using more natural products. I’ve used a number of larger brand name products that seemed to have high level promises but never truly felt I saw results. I was looking mainly for a newer day-time moisturizer that is quite lightweight, absorbed quickly, and layered well with my daytime serum and under my SPF for my face. I honestly thought I ordered the cucumber scented option but received the non-scented. While it is quite benign of a scent, there is a bit of an odor but I cannot put my finger on exactly what it is but it is not offensive by any means. This moisturizer truly is gel-like but turns into more water like consistency rather quickly with just warmth from my hands. It glides on easily and absorbs very fast into my skin. Additionally, I love that it does not require a lot to be effective and this one jar feels it will last quite some time. I’ve been using this moisturizer for about 2 weeks now and feel it is rather effective and simple - I love the metal lid and glass jar - it makes it feel more substantial but also better knowing it is recyclable in a good way. If you’re looking for a lightweight moisturizer that you can feel good about (I know it’s Amazon, so there is that) and is more clean than most others out there, then I truly do recommend you consider this one and for the price, you can’t go wrong.

WOW, this stuff is wonderful!
I have lots of skin allergies and, frankly, I never know what's going to irritate my skin. The biggest issue is allergy to porpolis found in bee's wax (not the wax but the glue the bees make from sap but it's hard to get bee's wax without the glue in there) and various tree saps. These are often put into "natural" products and for most people not a problem...but really bad for me. I was looking for the most calming product and gave this a try and it's great. My skin feels and looks great and moisturized...and finally finally calmed down. ALSO I absolutely LOVE that comes in a fairly eco-friendly container. And the price is pretty good. :) AND just a note to folks who have tried "natural" products but still get rashes, see about propolis allergy. As my doc said, just cause it's natural doesn't mean you can't be allergic to it.
