Much Better then we thought it would be !
We were looking all over the place for a stand for our 65 " and were having a tough time finding one in our price range AND a Quality product. We ordered this and are Not Disappointed as it fit Both of our requirements. My wife insisted on putting it together. It took 2 days, (well, around 6 hours total), she took her time and She did a FANTASTIC Job!There are quite a few parts and steps involved and you should make sure you have enough room to be able to assemble it.Do like the instructions say and forget about the power tools and just use old fashioned screw drivers. I would recommend using a mallet instead of a hammer if you have one available to you. If not, the cardboard it ships in will make nice padding between the pieces and the hammer. When opening the pass through holes in the back I recommend using an exact-o style knife or razor knife of some kind and carefully cut the area that is left to retain the plugs. The areas remain smooth but you could always get some plastic bushings to install in the holes if you prefer from a home improvement store.Assembly is fairly straight forward but TAKE YOUR TIME !This is NOT one of those ' outlet store ' pieces that are out there. You know the ones I mean where the shipping packing is more sturdy then the unit itself.Nice, Heavy, and Beautiful piece of furniture. The little 'hide away' nook in the top works well. Has enough room to store your charging game system pads and is not noticeable when closed. A nice feature. The lower drawer has ample room to store our most watched DVD's and Video games plus acc's.The glass paneled doors are really nice as well. We are thinking of getting some small LED lighting to add accent to the knick-nack's we have displayed in them. All of our equipment fit in nicely and there is plenty of room to fit the cords so they are not all bent at tight angels when connected. The only thing we might do is open up some more of the wholes in the rear to aid in the air flow for cooling our equipment. We LOVE this product and are thinking on expanding to the book shelves that are also in the product line when we can.We would recommend this to Our Family and anyone else out there looking for a Quality stand at a Fair price.Hope this review will help someone out.You Won't be disappointed!

Worth the purchase.
Very nice weight. This item is so crazy heavy. It took a while to put together. The directions were funny and had parts that said “nows a good time to stop for a drink” and had a pic of wine. I suggest you have two people to work on it, but it could be done with one. The drawer seems very sturdy. My 1 yo likes to climb and sit inside it!The shelves had to be hammered into place as the space was too tight of fit once assembled.I like that there are multiple cord holes in the back and that the shelves are short enough to run wires behind them to hide everything.Took a star off because both doors were scratched to the point of removing the fake wood decorative sticker on the front. And because the “hidden compartment” seems to stick up quite a bit and is clearly Not hidden lol. It sits a good amount above the rest and the hinges have to be adjusted so much in order to open it, that it leaves a giant gap on top too.Wish the whole thing was made with the textured wood covering instead of partially textured and partially flat, similar, sticker like coating.

Like IKEA, but lower quality.
This tries very hard to look like a decent piece of furniture, but quite frankly is a pile of crap. You'd think for being $340, it would be somewhat decent. I bought several Sauder made pieces and was disappointed in all of them.Even when considering that this isn't "fine furniture", its terrible quality. Even the IKEA furniture I bought when I was in college was better than this."Engineered wood"? What wood? Every single piece going into these is made out of low-grade MDF. Their claim that it is a "composite of high-quality trimmings and post-milling leftovers" is a load of BS. I could take boogers and sawdust from balsa wood, with wallpaper veneer and have a higher grade product than this. You know the cheesy furniture from the 80's and 90's? This looks like that. The veneer doesn't even cover the edges properly (look at pic). Also, you need to be extremely careful because the veneer comes off if you glare at it sternly.Quality control? There is no quality control. Half the pieces don't even have an item designation sticker on them, so be sure to be very organized with how you lay out your pieces, or you will get lost fast. Also be prepared to buy your own hardware, or save leftover hardware from other pieces, because there will be too many of some and too few of others. One of the center support pieces (the really important ones that lock everything together) had the holes drilled upside down and on the wrong side, so I had to take it and drill it myself so that I could actually build this thing. The holes that are drilled in the correct orientation are often out of alignment, so its not square. Clearly their QC is sleeping, or doesn't care.Their instructions, while navigable, are terrible and not much thought was put into the order of how everything goes together. The caps for the feet, for example, according to their directions, go on towards the end of the process and you have to top the whole thing over. I just put them on before I screwed them in place.Bottom line: this is not worth $340. This is worth about $125.I wish I hadn't even bothered assembling it and just sent it back, now its built and I just would rather burn the thing than deal with taking it apart. I will replace it next paycheck and use this to start a nice bonfire because that is the most useful application for this. Save the extra money and go to IKEA, or go with another brand if you want quality. The Home Style buffet I bought is really nice for the price.I gave it one star because it looks OK from distances of 10' or more.
