Great meditation techniques
Bought this book to go along with a class that my friend was teaching. Both of my 20 something sons took the class and found the book helpful. It breaks things down in a straightforward way and gives lots of different techniques to try.

Delicious
Highly recommend this book for anyone who desires to grow and develop in their personal development. The practice of meditation is not meant for everyone, but for some it will be. The principles and techniques of Mindfulness in this book are like water in a desert for a thirsty soul quenching to be a better person in all aspects of life.I wish this book could be a course not only in college, but in all schools, especially in the formative years of middle and high school. The layout in this book was like eating a delicious meal. Enjoy the book and pass it on.

Applies to the Mindful regardless of age!
I finally signed up for this program, which is quite well known in our area near Duke University (where it was developed). The book & the Koru Mindfulness app (Get it!) accompany the classes and help firm your practice. The title turned me off, as I'm decades past my twenties and way beyond concerns about studying, dating, and learning to adult. But the book isn't really geared toward any age. It's simply a great foundation for learning and practicing mindfulness as you build new habits of thinking. I sought a download version but this is really the kind of book you want to physically hold in your hands to highlight, refer back to, or share with a friend.

every twenty something should read and practice this
How i wish i could have read a book like this in my twenties. A life long practice of mindfulness could have helped me overcome anxiety and depression at a much earlier age. All the stuff I missed by not being aware. At least we had fewer distractions, which means itvis even more pertinent now.

Great guide to mindful living
I have a potential conflict of interest here, being a Koru teacher in training, but I found this a wonderful manual/guide for a beginning mindfulness practice. It can be read as a 4-week training program in meditation and other mindfulness practices for young people just setting out, but it can also be read as a broader guide to how live your life more mindfully. It strikes a sweet balance between being practical (well, how exactly do you meditate and all that?) and touching on some of the deeper underlying attitudes of the practice -- non-judgmentality, integrity, kindness, self-compassion, authenticity, wisdom, personal inquiry, and what mindfulness can open you up to in relationships and generally in dealing with others. Holly is a very straight-forward writer, very matter-of-fact (more Salzberg than Kabat-Zinn, if that means anything to you). She is also very open to sharing her own story and that of her students, which makes the book very relatable and inspiring. The little sidebars on the scientific background of some of the claims are a nice added boon.

An Excellent Book For An Excellent Course
I recently took a Koru mindfulness class through my University. I really enjoyed it, and found it extremely useful. I also really liked the book!It was a quick easy read, which was nice with my other work I had to do. I found the messages resonated with me, and being very helpful. The book goes very well with the app, but has everything in it one needs for an introduction to mindfulness. The author gears the book for Twenty-Something year olds. I think its lessons can be used and applicable to other folks in other stages of life. It is a really handy book, and I'd definitely recommend it to others (I already have!).
