iDesign York Glass Bathroom Vanity Apothecary Jar with Lid for Cotton Balls, Swabs, Cosmetic Pads, Candy, 3.5" x 3.5" x 5.8" - Clear and Bronze

I absolutely love this jar. I have several items from InterDesign in the Bronze color and they all match my Kohler Bancroft fixtures very nicely (and, I am very picky). I have the Kohler K-2967 medicine cabinet and the jar fits inside it perfectly; the door closes without a problem and it looks super nice inside the mirrored cabinet. I have since ordered two more of these jars. I am uncertain as to what I will use them for, but they fit the theme of my bathroom, fit it my cabinet and match the other oil-rubbed bronze items I have. I love to have my items organized so I am sure they will not go unused. The jar came well packaged and had no imperfections. The lid sits nicely on top of the jar; it does not seal, but it fits well and looks good. From InterDesign I have the Olivia Waste Can and Soap Dish, the York Boutique Box, the Cameo Apothecary Jar and Bowl Brush and without exception I am very pleased with each item. Each item is made of a sturdy metal; they do not feel cheap or flimsy. The finish on each item is very nice and even. And, each item blends with the other; even though they are from different "families", they look great together.

I bought one to put cotton balls in on my bathroom counter, and it works great for that. I liked it enough that I bought a second one to put cotton swabs in, and it works so-so for that. It's fine when it's full of Q-tips, but it's too wide when you get down towards the end and they tend to lay down sideways - not quite flat, but semi-horizontal. It's not a problem...I just like things to look nice and be in order, but you can still pull them out and use them just fine.The one tiny thing I don't like about these is that they don't sit 100% flat. I assume it's a glass container thing - they have a slight wobble to them. Not enough to rock back and forth when bumped or anything, but if you put your hand on the top it will pivot a bit. It doesn't affect the functionality, and honestly I didn't notice that my first one did it until I got the second one. Overall, I'd recommend these.

This was exactly what I was looking for. The glass gives a look more refined than plastic. The lid is a nice, brushed metal. Up close and under the right lighting, you can see almost a glitter effect, but it’s so unnoticeable that I don’t mind. It sets atop the jar and does not seal it, but that’s not something I was needing. I use the largest size of this jar to hold epsom salt. I have a small scoop that fits neatly inside. The jar is smaller than what I anticipated, but after having it for a while, I realize it’s the perfect size for what I need. I use the smallest jar for cotton balls. I’ll note that one of the jars has a ripple in the glass, but it’s hardly noticeable and I don’t mind it.

Cute jar, it really is, but the glass seems a touch thin especially when you consider how much this cost for one jar. Overall I like the jar, but I'm not sure I'd spend the money to get another.

The first one that sent was completely shattered as whoever had packed it had put no packing materials in with it. But the customer service was great. A new one was instantly sent, properly packaged and its working perfectly as I had intended it for. Makes a nice easy cute storage container of small things like you would have in the bathroom. Also I had bought this to match the rest of the items I had in my bathroom and it looks exactly like it does in the picture with its description of material so it matched perfectly with the other items I had in my bathroom.

Great-looking jar. Mine has a slight defect in the glass at the rim -- a little built-up place. Nothing I felt worth sending it back for.Also, the lid could benefit from a gasket or something. It just sits on the glass, does NOT close tightly as some reviewers mentioned, and makes a pretty loud noise upon doffing or donning it.Still, it's handy to have my cotton swabs easily available and in a jar that matches the rest of my accessories.

Overall, performs well and is the perfect size for its purpose. The bronze matches our bathroom fixtures well. It has a much nicer look and feel than plastic alternatives, but the glass feels a bit fragile. No regrets though. Occasionally the whole thing tries to lift off the sink when taking the top off, so I attached some clear rubber pads on the bottom to prevent it from breaking if it drops on the hard tile. Pads also eliminate the glass sound.

I purchased the small jar. I'm only giving this item 3 stars because I don't hate it, but it was flawed during manufacturing and I'm not really happy either. The lip of the container is an uneven slope causing the lid not to lay securely on top. There was no way for the people at Amazon to know this item was flawed because of the way it is packaged. I'm not going to bother returning it because I don't feel it is worth the effort and it is still functional even if it is not perfect. After reading other reviews I'd have to say it is hit and miss with this item so buy at your own risk.

Although it looks great on my vanity, is it so expensive for a glass jar. Glass is also very thin.
