Yes…it is as cool as it looks. Yes, it’s heavy, too. Yes, you should buy this.

I ordered it back in May, but I am leaving a review in case anyone else is interested in the shield.1.) The grip you hold on for the shield is angled incorrectly in my opinion. If you hold it in front of you, you grip it with your fist pointing upwards. Meaning, if you're holding it on your side, the bottom part will be touching your upper arm. I wish the bar was rotated 90 degrees that way I can actually hold it properly.2.) It's very heavy. Feels more real like that which is nice.3.) Mine came slightly damaged at the top tip of it, I've seen other reviews with it being damaged. I am a little upset about that, but I guess it adds to the realism because their shields back in this time period were most likely damaged.4.) There is a leather strap below the bar with an insane gap. Maybe like 5-6 inch gap, so the strap serves no purpose. I genuinely don't know what they were thinking because no one's forearm is that huge.5.) Overall, I'd say 3.5. I do like the gold border it has because I can't find any other shield like that. Alot of them have silver border. I was more upset over the positioning of the hand bar rather the damages if anything. I am curious if I message them about it and buy another one if they could change that.

It is well made and looks great. A bit heavy and the hold on the inside grips seems unbalanced. Very good overall.

This thing is really heavy!! You may not want to carry this around all day. Mine came with the bottom tip of the shield bent forward. Still trying to figure out how to bend it back without making it worse. Also I'm not sure what the leather strap is for. Maybe 2-handed use? Otherwise using the strap makes this harder to wield. There are lots of sharp unfinished edges you can cut yourself on so get some sandpaper and work on those edges.
