Very handy. Great for splinters
Nice, sharp tweezers. It's on my keychain now and I've used a few times for splinters on me and others that I happen to be with. Works great and can dig into the skin to get a good grip on the splinters.

The best for pulling splinters
I am a wood worker and these are the absolute best for removing spliters or thorns. I have bought dozens over the years to stash everywhere.

Perfect For Pulling Tics , Very Good For Splinters
For years I managed to not lose a pair of needle-like tip tweezers I use for pulling tics off of myself or family but alas they've disappeared sometime between last springs tic season and this years .I saw this item that I can keep on my key ring , easier to find when needed. They arrived yesterday and today my daughter came to me with a tic that had bitten under her arm. They worked perfectly for this task. Instead of just pointy and flat they are angled very slightly inward at the tip for a super grip on the blood sucking insect under her arm. No fuss, no muss and it was out, head and all.As far as using them for digging splinters, they seem a little blunt, not quite long/thin enough on the tip for digging but I could probably remedy that with a sharpening stone.Since they came as a 2 pack I'm gonna sharpen 1 for splinter digging/pulling and keep the other original for tics and other objects that are poking out but need to be pulled with something smaller than fingernails.I took a chance on these and I'm glad I did.Being made in the USA made me wish I could add a few extra stars for that alone.

Great EDC tweezers
I am a bit into the “EDC” (every day carry) crowd, and am always on the look out for new items that can prove useful- either useful enough to be something I carry on me every single day, or at least have handy for when I do need it. These tweezers have gotten rave reviews every time they come up on message boards and in general conversation, so I had to try them.I never had the old ones from years back, so I have no past experience to compare them to. However, as a newcomer, I have to say that they’re the best tweezers I’ve ever used. I love the keychain holder mechanism. Just based on the pictures I wasn’t entirely sure how it worked and how secure it was, but there is a “lip” that grabs the holes in the tweezers and holds them onto the holder. The tension in the tweezers holds them VERY securely, and there’s absolutely no worry of them accidentally falling off.The ends are very sharp and I have been able to successfully pull out a tiny splinter that I would normally struggle with for a long while, using the standard slanted edge first aid kit style tweezers. The edge of the tips almost seem to have an extra holding quality about them that really grabs onto what you squeeze them onto. I’ve also used them to pull hangnails and other random things just to toy around with them. They’re awesome.

Best tweezers ever.
I have been carrying these on my keychain for over twenty years. Always know where to find them. I can pull slivers so small they can’t be seen (but certainly felt). Fantastic little device that works really well.

Great tweezers
These are such a great design. I worried about them slipping off my keychain when I bought originally bought them but they stay firmly in place unless you want to remove them. Super sharp too.

good but not great
Haven't had an actual splinter to tackle with these little guys, but have found that they don't work the way my bathroom tweezers do, as far as non-splinter jobs. My bathroom tweezers work for removing a stray whisker (or if I were trying to pluck an eyebrow, I'm guessing). These are hard to get to work for that. Maybe if I use them a bit more I'll get the hang of them but so far not so much. But they're compact and seem quite sturdy. I have a sense that I could eventually get them to do whatever I was trying to do--splinter-wise or otherwise--and having them on a keychain with their cool little holder means they'll be available on the go, so even if they're not ideal, they'd be quite welcome in such a scenario.I'd recommend them for that use but not to replace a better version of a tweezer that you might have in a manicure set, etc.
