OtterBox Detachable Folio Wallet (Case Sold Separately) for MagSafe - iPhone 12 Pro Max & 13 Pro Max - Shadow (Black)

I’ve been using nothing but Otterbox Folio cases for my iPhone over the years and love them all.This is my first MagSafe folio case I’ve used and couldn’t be happier.I have the perfect shell case to go with the folio so it’s a perfect fit.Has a strong magnetic hold.The leather has held up great, still looks new.Love having an extra card and cash slot compared to my previous ones.Great value.Definitely will continue to use and invest in the future.Highly recommend.

But I fear using it to store credit cards because of the way I use it. In order to access the phone conveniently, I bend the front flap to the back, securing it there with the magnetic latch. That puts the cards into intimate contact with the permanent magnet which (attempts to) secure(s) the phone, thus risking erasure of the cards’ own magnetic data. Without swinging the front flap back, the phone is near impossible to hold and manipulate. So all I keep in the “wallet” is cash out of an abundance of caution.

I had one of these and lost it so I found this and purchased it and was so excited. I actually have an iPhone 15 Pro Max and I knew this would fit. So after I ordered it, I did find mine but I don’t care it’s always good to have a back up, I really like this cause it protects the whole phone and I can have any case on the phone as long as it has MagSafe and use it With my iPhone.

Sloppy fit.Weak magnet.Poor card cut out design. The edges will eventually tear. You can find much better for 1/2 the price

I bought this case, cause I like the detachable wallet cases this case was hard to find a Phone Case that would actually adhere to the magnetic portion of it and my phone always came off. It didn’t stay stuck well. The case was just OK for me.

I was looking for a case that was secured (or could be secured) to the folio. Although the magnet is pretty strong, the case comes apart from the folio easily. I have needed to get used to that.

So I ordered this because I want to get rid of carrying a wallet around all the time, and have everything I need attached to my phone. Upon opening it, it’s well made, it seems durable, very easy to grip, the leather material is nice, the card/money slots are fantastic, but.. here’s the downfall..In order for this to really work properly, you will need to get the Defender XT (MagSafe) case, or the Symmetry MagSafe.. I attached it to the XT case which I ordered in conjunction with the folio wallet, and with no cards or money in it, it folds nicely up against the phone sits flush, feels comfortable in the hands, and the magnet to close the top fold to the phone is strong.. the magnets on the folio wallet… not strong. A couple of light generous shakes and the phone falls right off. It attaches nicely and you can feel the magnets connecting, but it’s not strong enough. A little movement of the folio wallet and the magnets disconnect.. I added 2 cards and 3 bills not folded into the wallet, and the top fold would not sit flush on the screen, and the clasp to keep the top from opening shortens so to speak, so there is less magnet holding it shut tightly. If you don’t have a screen protector, or even if you do, the cards may scratch the screen/screen protector for sure. The biggest downfall, is that adding the folio wallet to the case/phone, made it heavy.. and I mean heavy.. you can feel the weight difference when you add/remove the folio wallet. The other downfall is the case backs are plastic, and the folio inside material is a very very thin synthetic velvet like material.Overall, the idea of this is fantastic no doubt, but I really do believe it needs some work, stronger magnets and maybe a better inside material that goes up against the back of the case. I had high hopes for this, but I unfortunately was let down and have to say that I will be returning this. Hopefully the idea of MagSafe folio wallet attachments can improve with time.

Its a good folio wallet but definitely only with a case and a thick case at that i use it with a rockform case when i pit it in my motorcycle dash for screen protection very happy with purchase
