I can't believe I found this!
Wow! I could mimic all of Mando's world's enthusiastic comments, except that I haven't received this yet. But I did place an order as soon I found it, and can't wait til my order arrives! Many years ago, Kraft used to sell cheddar cheese sprinkles in a container same as what they still sell Parmesan cheese in. My kids and I regularly and faithfully bought it to sprinkle on our Friday night popcorn and were in heaven! Then they suddenly quit making it. We were one depressed household! Now, I am sensitive to the annatto food coloring they undoubtedly used to make it orange, so probably couldn't use this even if it were still around. But that didn't mean I could go without cheese on my popcorn. The sprinkles sold in the spice isle, when available, are all mostly salt and full of strange ingredients, with little to no real cheese in them. So I resorted to buying Annie's organic mac and cheese just for the sprinkles. Since I am now gluten intolerant as well, I have been buying the dinner packages just for the cheese, and throwing the noodles away. Such a waste! The only good thing about that is that the package of cheese is just about the right size for a large bowl of buttered popcorn, so no measurement needed. I even contacted Annie's to see if they sold containers of just the cheese sprinkles, and they said they quit selling it due to lack of demand. So I am entirely thrilled to have found this. As long as it even remotely resembles Annie's cheese puffs, as one reviewer said, I will be happy. If it turns out way worse, I'll update my review. But in the meantime, I am waiting expectantly and excitedly for my order to arrive. With such a big bag of it and no wasted noodles, not to mention the wasted packaging, I am sure I will be using on more than just popcorn in short order.Update: This is GOOD stuff. I've ordered several bags of it, and just placed my third order. It's good and pure. Doesn't cause any problems whatsoever with my extremely sensitive system.

Tastes like powdered milk. Run away.
If you're reading this, you're looking for signs that this will be "good enough." It is not. Many reviewers wrote that this was not as good as the King Arthur brand, or even as good as Annie's. Since there were even more positive reviews, I decided to take a chance on it, given the price point.Wanderer, learn from my error! This is only remotely edible when masked with other flavors. It is not a matter of "needing to use more" or even of "being too salty." It has sickly off-flavors, probably due to the whey and powdered nonfat milk used as a cheap filler. The mouthfeel is sticky and unpleasant.2 stars because it is ostensibly non-toxic and can be consumed without physical injury, preferably while looking at a photograph of real cheese.

AMAZING on Popcorn!!!
I'm sitting here with my first batch of White Cheddar Cheese popcorn made using this product. Lat year, my wife bought me a Whirley Pop, knowing my love of popcorn and hate of microwaves. Since then, I have struggled to find the right product for making cheddar cheese popcorn. I resorted to buying Annie's Organic Mac & Cheese to use the cheese powder packets. Apparently I am not the only one! As I've noticed in the reviews, that is a popular route. In my search for Organic Cheese powder I came down to Frontier and another brand made here locally in California. The other brand was the same price for half as much but it contained no fillers. Frontier has whey. I decided to check a box of Annies and compare. If Annie's had whey, frontier had won the battle. Well...Annies had whey. So I was more than comfortable ordering this product. Not only that, but I discovered one other very important fact. Annie's cheese powder is NOT organic!! Only the pasta is! I NEVER drink non-organic milk (thats a story onto itself) and I am just starting to steer clear of non organic cheese. I can only imagine how many of the people using Annies cheese powder believe it to be organic! This is amazing on popcorn (my only real use for it) and I will be ordering yellow cheese powder in the near future to increase my options. With a product this tasty I might even try something other than cheddar on my popcorn!

Violently ill and painful. disodium phosphate
Almost went to hospital.Gut wrenching pain for hours and 2 hours of vomiting from the lowest depths. I’m assuming from disodium phosphate(look it up).I have an extremely high tolerance constitution but this product brought me to my knees on two occasions. Wasn’t positive it was what caused my issues but now I amFrontier should switch out the ingredients.Over pricedUsed on popcorn. Tastes ok. A bit salty and phoney tasting.Annie’s organic Mac and cheese powder packet much better and no ‘ chemical’ ingredients.Threw it away and body still recovering from being violently ill. I can’t ever remember feeling that bad.Look up disodium phosphate. Why do they have to have that in there. Frontier offers great products normally. Not this one.
