Good but not perfect
At first glance, the JEBELE Miter Saw Protractor appears very well made. The construction is solid and it has a very sturdy feel. The arms move smoothly with enough friction to stay in place but not so much resistance as to make fine adjustments difficult. The white lettering on the black background is very easy to read (although there is a spelling error on one of the arms telling you to use the reading to set you "minter" saw - obviously not something that affects function - but it gave me a bit of a laugh). However, when checked against a known precision square, the readings are off by approximately 1/4 degree. This may not seem like much, but it will be enough to show a gap when cutting a miter. Note that the scale does not provide the actual angle measured, but rather indicated the setting you should apply to your miter saw to obtain the desired miter. This is a useful feature, but it can be a bit confusing at first, especially if you are trying to measure the actual angle (but that is not what this is really intended to do).Overall, I am sure I will find this to be a useful if not perfect tool.

This takes out I guess work
Going to be removing the carpet from my staircase and adding planks of wood. I have a spiral staircase and that makes every step a little different. This takes out the guesswork and I know exactly what angle to set my miter saw at. As you can see, set out this looks like a 45° angle but in fact is a 46° angle. This allows me to be very precise and but the wood plank up against the baseboard that runs along the wall of the spiral staircase. This protractor feels very well made and opens and closes smoothly. Has just enough tension on it to hold it in place once you set it to the two intersecting sides. I definitely recommend this if you're going to be doing any woodworking projects like mine.

Not at all an accurate tool
There is no way you can actually use this tool for it's designed purpose when it off by a degree if your lucky and if you move it back and forth by over 2 degrees. The thing has so much play in it it's useless for a precision tool

Not a precision tool
I compared this to a known right angle tool. This gauge seems to be off by almost a full degree. This is OK for rough framing kind of work, but it is unacceptable for precision type work, like finish carpentry. The build quality is fine. The markings are fine. The problem is the accuracy is off just enough to render it minimally useful.

A quality tool
Having messed up enough angle cuts I figured it was about time to get the right tool. This is solid aluminum with both Inches and Centimeters and is quite heavy. For single cuts and meter cuts, this will get them accurate all the time (just don’t throw it anyone as it could do some real damage). Included are a bubble level and a bubble center level built right into the tool. It comes with a little cheat sheet (see photos) that folds up nicely to fit in the velvet carrying bag. The numbers and graduations appear to be well printed and should last a long time. This tool will be something that will be around in 50 years in much the same condition. My favorite tool is a yankee driver (red wooden handle ratcheting screwdriver) and this is at least in the same zone unlike most tools these days.

Base board magic
After redoing our floors upstairs with hardwoods, we needed to redo all of the base boards to finish the job. My DeWalt miter saw is a good tool. but there have been some nasty angles that it just can't handle (in one spot I needed to do a 33 degree angle cut across the facing and this protractor made for a very precise cut once I had traced the cut line onto the board. The movement and use of the protractor is smooth and stays where it is put once adjusted, no worries about slipping. The storage sack should keep it from getting scratched in the tool chest. I may not end up using this every time I do a cut, but when I need it it will be a huge help. P-)

For perfect angles
This miter saw protractor is solid built. The measurements are easy to read.Leveling bubbles on center and the arm have proven helpful also. Its stiff construction keeps angles steady while tracing or setting up your saw.The pouch helps keep it protected. It also comes with an angle chart and is helpful as well.I would recommend.Thank you for reading my review I hope that it was helpful to you.
