VIZIO M51a-H6 5.1 Dolby Atmos 36" Sound Bar System- (Renewed)

Look I am not an audiophile, nor a super advanced tech user. I am someone that watches a decent amount of TV and really loves fantasy / sci-fi movies. I recently bought an LG C1 65" OLED TV to replace a circa 2009 Sony Bravia LCD. Okay all that to say, I never thought the sound from the C1 was actually all that bad considering how thin the TV is. But I wanted more sound, and I wanted something with more depth/surround/3D than what my TV was giving me. I also didn't want to spend a fortune.This sound bar is blowing me away so far, especially for the price of $249. The unit came in what seemed like original vizio packaging. Each component was pristine. Setup was mostly easy through the dedicated earc - realized only one HDMI port on my TV was earc, so had to swap to that port. No biggie. The unit will cycle through searching for a connection on each of its various inputs, but you can override the search and just select whichever input you want. I have now run my 4k blu ray player into the soundbar, which will then run that to the TV. this feature works great (called pass through). The dolby atmos sounds really really good. I really don't miss the upfiring speaks at all. Granted I've never had them, but the sound coming at you from the front (soundbar) and the rear (small satellite speakerss + subwoofer) is great! watched a few high action movies with Dolby atmos and the sound didn't lag at all. Was really great and sounded so sharp. WOW. this setup is great and I highly recommend. The multiple types of input is great. I love that the power for both subwoofer and soundbar is a a simple small 2 prong plug, not a bulky adapter.why the missing half star? the interface / unit indicator on the soundbar itself is all done through various dots. The manual for what all the patterns of dots can mean is overwhleming. thankfully the remote does have a little lcd screen that kind of tells you what you're doing. fully decoding what the dots are telling you requires a WWII code breaker. It's 2022, we've got be able to do better than a series of lit or unlit dots. Not a big deal, but not great. The other portion of the star removal is when you change an input, or a setting, it's like the voice of God is speaking through the soundbar to tell you what you've done. Just imagine God speaking to Moses on Mt. Sinai saying "bluetooth" or "movie". It's way over the top.since it was refurbished, i purchased the extra 2 year coverage for $25. I really love this sound bar system and am VERY happy I bought it. If you want an affordable great sounding atmos setup, this might be for you!

So I had a speaker fail not too longer after receiving this system. I contacted the sellers and requested another one. I never did get correspondence or at least didn’t see any but a new speaker showed up! So good service that way for sure! I really love this sound bar , easy to operate and sounds great

Update 5/10/23Exchanged item for another one. Seller very easy to work with. Back up and running for now! Hopefully better luck this time!Update 4/29/23Back to 5 stars for now. Super quick reply and very cordial understanding seller. Working on resolution!Update 4/28/23Turned on my television today and had no sound. Said to connect external source. Noticed The lights weren't on on the front of the sound bar. Pressed the power button, nothing. Held the power button, nothing. Moved the sound bar to a different outlet tried the same thing, nothing. Got a different cable and tried that, nothing.So 5 months later and taking the risk after reading all the bad reviews, here I am with nothing. Barely even used the thing and how it's a $250 brick. Save your cash and get something else.For the money, stellar system. Received the renewed unit today and it was brand new. Works great, but with the history of these units failing, I will certainly keep this post updated if anything changes. Just know that for the price is hard to beat. The unit I received was from seller Verdi!, so buy from them with confidence as far as not getting price gouged or getting a beat up unit.

New TVs usually require sound accessories for a better watching experience. Since my TV time is limited, I refuse to spend thousands of dollars in high-end TV sound accessories. I've done a good amount of research and saw this model offers great performance on a budget (under $500).I am glad I bought the product. My TV sounds astronomically better even at lower volumes. The woofer is powerful as well.I recommend this product to anyone who does not want to spend too much on TV sound accessories but still wants a good level of quality.

I was truly torn between spending less than 200 bucks for the ULTIMEA 5.1 Dolby Atmos Home Theater Sound Bar, and this VIZIO M51a-H6 5.1 Dolby Atmos 36" Sound Bar System- (Renewed) system. What finally swayed me was the fact that my TV is a VIZIO, so I knew there would be no problem with the remotes (which there wasn't). I just connected the eArc HDMI cable, and the soundbar setup became a natural extension of the TV's controls.The sound was quite good although the lack of true Upfiring speakers does not give the same effect of a true overhead speaker setup, but overall it is quite good. Plus by buying it "Renewed" for about $240 rather than it's original $400ish price tag made this the deal of the century.
