CHUWI CoreBox Mini PC, Windows 10 Mini Desktop Computers with Intel i5-5257U Processor(up to 4.1GHz),8GB RAM 256GB SSD, Dual WiFi/Gigabit Ethernet,Support Dual 4K Screen Display

So, my dads computer was getting long in the tooth and he needed a new one (he is mid 80’s). I did a lot of research in what kind of computer would be best for him. All he really does is check mail, watch an attachment video here and there, print stuff, and maybe write a letter or something. More research found even the cheapest Dell Vostro started around 600 (just the comp) and it was more than he really needed. Refurbs were much cheaper, but all the hardware was past its due.I came across CHUWI in the search, I actually wanted to get him a Hero Box but- and I’m not being facetious- I didn’t think he would take it seriously. Let’s be honest, though I think it’s a solid comp, it looks like a toy.Not that this doesn’t- it looks like you took a tower and zapped it with the shrink ray. It’s a little thicker than a Mac mini, but the MM is much more sturdy and solid feeling. It looks polished but is very light and feels like if you pressured it, it would snap open.No disc drive, but you can get one for like 10 bucks (he needed one, to install stuff on discs). Only an hdmi port, no VGA.The performance is surprising. When I got it I hooked it up to an older flat screen TV (all I had free) to update it so he could go out of box. Hearing how well it did with 4K, I found a random vid online to see how it did. It looked stunning. Even on that older TV which doesn’t even have 4K capability, it looked amazing.As for everything else, it is fairly fast and does everything a senior would need to do- check mail, watch a vid or two, print stuff, etc. I would think even someone who does a little more could do just fine. I wouldn’t be expecting to run Read Dead 2 or anything like that on it. Maybe Fallout 3. Maybe.So if you’re ever in the same position as I was and you want to find a decent computer that isn’t too expensive (mind you, if it were, I’d never hear the end of it!), can run Windows (which he’s used to...runs Win 10 Home), is pretty quick online and streams nicely, give it a shot before you drop a lot more on an iPad (like Consumer Reports recommended), or a laptop (he’s a desk/monitor guy), or a more pricey tower or mini tower or even bigger name brand mini PC- for seniors especially!

Had to replace an old desktop PC tower for work quickly right before Christmas - so price was an included consideration. Found this Mini PC and had my IT friend review the specs. He gave the green light and I am delighted with the purchase. There was (and appears there still is) some confusion in the listing regarding RAM and SSD. This machine I received came loaded with Windows 10 (NOT compatible to upgrade to Windows 11) with 8GB RAM and 256 SSD. The seller has indicated on Amazon the #s are 2x what Amazon lists (16 GB RAM 516 SSD) but that was not true with the product I received. I love how much smaller and compact it is - leaving more room on my desk. It is fast, quiet and prefect for the small-office needs I use it for. It's been a while since I got a new desktop machine and I couldn't be happier with this purchase - AND at a great price, too !

I bought this in July 2021 and out of the box it seemed like a good product. I knew I wasn't getting the absolute best computer given the cost, but it still seemed like a reasonable value. I use the computer very lightly and only for working from home which requires basically an internet browser to be used, and I have installed basically no software.About 6 months in, I started getting the Windows blue screen of death, sometimes 3-4x a day. The error code indicates it was hardware related. The computer would still restart and run afterwards but it is obviously disruptive and I would frequently lose work.UPDATE Feb 2022 - Customer service reached out and sent a replacement machine out within a few days, and so far the new one has been working well. They were pleasant and easy to work with so I am upgrading my review. Hopefully it was just a defective machine but I will update my review if anything changes.

This mini computer surprised me! I’ll admit, I left the task to my teenage son to find me the right computer for working from home. When it arrived I was in awe of how compact it is. It did throw me off that there is an additional piece (I’m guessing a SATA) and limited instruction on what to do with it (so I left it in the box and plugged it in). Unlike the previous two posts, it was worth the risk in purchasing. Pros: startups are quick, compact size takes up little desk space, all ports (4 total usbs, Ethernet, audio jacks work great), tech support available through Amazon if needed at no additional charge, and it the i5 Intel performs at lightening speed compared to my i3 dell laptop. Cons: limited info packet and even less info on website, additional piece to be installed inside computer (I still don’t know what it is), and Windows version was out of date so after install sync your time and date then check for and run updates (and any other programs you’ll need) and restart. Still giving it a 5/5 star because I feel it is as advertised and performs at expectations.

The item you receive LOOKS like the item listed, but all of the hardware in it is over 6 years old, does not support dual channel RAM, does not support 4k video, does not support a 2.5 HDD, and most importantly, DOES NOT WORK! Things that resolve issues on normal PCs do not work on this computer. If you buy this, you will literally spend money on a computer that never boots and no technician can make it boot without replacing all of the components with real computer components. DO NOT read the fake reviews, people literally get paid to review amazon products (I know, I use to do that job). All in all, life is about choices, and all I'm saying is I bought this for a job, arrived late (the day off the job even though I had prime) and then proceeded to not work, wasted a whole day of troubleshooting, cannot go buy a new computer until amazon refunds which they will not for a few days and lost my job since I now don't have money to replace with another computer before 8am tomorrow morning (9pm now and amazon wouldn't refund) so, I lost my job, my house, and probably custody of my kid, because I chose to buy this and use Amazon services. So yeah, life's about choices.

En lo funcional está muy bien, pero el. Material del gabinete esperaba fuera de más calidad pensé sería de metal o por lo menos una armazón de metal cubierta por plástico de mejor calidad pero es de muy baja calidad al tacto, hace el equipo muy liviano y tienes que detenerlo para poder encenderla de tan liviano que esta.

Me gustó, solo que falta hacerlo compatible con lenguaje en español y otras regiones y qye la paqueteria también venga en español, ah y teclado co la "ñ"

Leggermente più rumoroso dell'Intel NUC i3 serie 8 che ho in casa ma pur sempre un ottimo computer. Buona la qualità costruttiva e nessun intoppo in fase di setup. Aggiornato a Windows 11 gratuitamente. Aggiornati tutti i driver tramite le utility di Intel e funziona veramente bene.PC consigliato per un utilizzo casalingo.

Increíble el rendimiento de este mini PC. Nada que envidiar a un PC normal.Yo uso Mac para trabajar, pero necesito Windows por problemas de compatibilidad de programas y también para jugar a juegos. Al no tener espacio para una torre, me decanté por este mini PC por las características que tiene. Estoy muy contento con él. Cumple perfectamente con lo que quería: mover tanto programas algo pesados como juegos como CSGO y Phasmophobia.Viene con Windows 10 instalado, pero puedes instalar Windows 11 sin tener que modificar nada en la bios. Es un mini PC bastante compacto y super ligero. Viene con un sistema de ventilación bastante eficiente: apenas se calienta aún usándolo toda la tarde para jugar. Además, no hace nada de ruido.Otras características a destacar:- Intel Core i5.- 4 puertos USB (todos 3.0), 1 HDMI y 1 displayport.- Compatibilidad con redes WIFI 5G.- SSD y no disco duro.- Compatibilidad para usar con dos monitores.Lo veo ideal tanto para trabajar como para jugar ya que tiene potencia y rendimiento de sobra para las dos cosas. Además, no ocupa espacio, estéticamente queda muy elegante en el escritorio y si necesitas llevártelo no te supone ningún problema.

The media could not be loaded.  Der Mini PC von Chuwi macht auf den ersten Blick einen sehr Hochwertigen Eindruck, die Verarbeitung ist Perfekt und steht marken Geräten in nichts nacht. Alle Anschlüsse sind Zeitgemäß und man vermisst nichts.Ich nutze den Mini PC als Media Gerät im Heimkino. Der Mini PC passt sich meinen sonstigen Geräten im Hifi Rack perfekt an und fällt nicht wirklich auf.Mein Media Programm zum verwalten der Film Bibliothek läuft schnell und ohne aussetzer, so wie es sein sollte, dies kann ich von meinem vorherigen alten Laptop nicht behaupten. Hier hatte ich große Performance Probleme.Die Lautstärke des Lüfters ist im leisen raum hörbar, aber nicht wirklich störend. Sobald ein Film läuft, nimmt man es selbst bei ruhigen Szenen kaum mehr wahr, deshalb für mich nicht wirklich von bedeutung.Zeitgemäße Anschlüsse, sehr gute Verarbeitung und Optik sowie die Geschwindigkeit des Mini PCs rechtfertigen den Preis und deshalb gibt es auch 5 Sterne :)
