Should I buy used?
Absolutely . This item appeared to be NEW. I really inspected for mars or scrapes only because it came in original box, plastic bag & inserts. IF it was used i couldn't tell. I expected dust and some grime but was shocked to find a new tool. I would say buy one, your millage may vary

Strong, lightweight, tough
Bought this for installing a ton of garage storage equipment. I worked it very hard over the period of a couple weeks and it did the job flawlessly. Super strong tool that I was very glad I had. Small, lightweight and powerful.

ATOMIC POWER!!!!! *Please read!
The media could not be loaded. Pros: Tons of power, light weight and compact. Recently changed the front wheel bearings on my 2015 Ford Taurus SHO and the factory torque spec is 258 foot pounds for the axle nut. Had my dcf922 on speed 2 with a 32mm socket and took about 3 seconds to break it loose. I also like the precision wrench mode in combination with a torque wrench to allow for proper tightening. Lastly I can keep it in my roadside emergency kit with some flip lug nut sockets if I get a flat tire.Cons: it can vibrate a bit but it's very manageable. I did wanna touch on the "dead trigger" issue. It's a bad solder joint on the terminal connector and it's pretty easy to fix yourself if you bought it used like me since the warranty wasn't transferable. It's not super common but it has happened to me a few times; though since I've had the solder joint repaired it's been rock solid! If I had to rate it out of ten, I'd definitely give it a 9.3 out of 10 and recommend the dcf921, dcf922 or dcf923. No wrong choice!

Makes fast work on lug nuts and big suspension bolts
I recently replaced 4 shocks and 4 brakes and rotors and a sway bar on a GMC Acadia. This requires the tires coming on and off 9 times over the course of the project. This saved a LOT of time. Great on rusted suspension nuts and bolts.

Weak torque! Can't remove a lug nut!
After my previous Dewalt DCF911B proved to have hardly any torque, I took a chance on this Dewalt DCF922B, and I'm once again disappointed by the lack of torque. This DCF922B impact drill claims to have 450 ft*lbs of breakaway torque, however it could not remove a single lug nut from my car wheel, which are torqued to 79 ft*lbs! I set the mode to max torque, and held the trigger for 10 seconds. It hammered away at the socket on the lug nut, but the lug nut wouldn't budge! I then grabbed a lug wrench, loosened the lug nut, re-torqued the lug nut to 79 ft*lbs, and again tried to loosen it with the DCF922B...nope. This Dewalt impact drill surely doesn't have the claimed 450 ft*lb of breakaway torque, maybe 45 ft*lbs at best. What good is an impact drill that can't even remove a lug nut?! Now I have 2 Dewalt Atomic impact guns that look great, but are useless.

Mediocre.
Had left an earlier review that was positive but now a few months later my opinion has changed.I drive an older truck that has some rust on it. This impact will NOT remove the vast majority of bolts that it should be more than capable of removing according to the specs and reviews I’ve seen on YouTube. Now I’m left with a 1/2 drive impact that doesn’t have the guts to do what I need it to do a good 80% of the time I go to use it.Disappointed with my purchase. Should have went with the bigger impact Dewalt offers. Buyer be warned.
