Nodpod Gentle Pressure Sleep Mask | Patented Light Blocking Design for Sleeping, Traveling & Relaxation - Black Onyx

This is my "go to present" when I don't know what to give someone who has everything!!! I was given a Nodpod about ive years ago and at first thought I didn't need it. After a few months of it sitting in its little container, I finally got it out. It was so pretty and I loved the pink color. I put it on my eyes, didn't know how to fasten it, so I just placed it over my eyes with the "pillows" on my eyes, rolled over on my side, shut my eyes and didn't wake up until the next morning. It was then I realized I had kept the light on all night!!!! It totally blocks out all light. I am not keen on a weighted blanket, so that could have been one of my hesitations of waiting to try it out. Not to worry.....it is the perfect weight and thickness, and nothing like a weighted blanket. You will note, one side is a little cooler, so you will just have to figure it out. I think it is the jersey side. I have told all of my friends, and as I wrote earlier, I have given this as a present for many of them..... I wanted to make sure I would never be without one, as I take my Nodpod along with my favorite pillow on trips and frequently forget a pillow here or there. (I wanted to make sure I was never without my Nodpod!!) It washes up so nicely, and I put it in the dryer on air unless it accidentially gets in the wash and dryer with other items. All of my friends who know about the Nodpod and have tried it or I have gifted them one, love it. I have ordered the sage color for myself, but keep returning to the pink one to order for friends. If you are worried about any smell coming from the material or the stuff inside the Nodpod, there is none. It doesn't slip off my face at night, and I love the feel of it. In addition, if you wear a CPAP, it will still fit. I have had a CPAP for about 15 years, and use the nasal pillow mask. No problem with the Nodpod as I do not have any interference. In fact, I think I sleep a bit better with the Nodpod. If your mind is going a gazillion miles an hour when you lie down even though you are really tired, the Nodpod somehow slows your mind down and totally makes you relax. I don't know of any bad comments to make. I do try to order them on Black Friday when the price is reduced so I can give them as Christmas presents. I probably could continue, but I think you get the message that this is a wonderful product. If I were a child and had a "blankie" I would relate to my Nodpod as my Nodpod "blankie"

This is the only sleep mask I will purchase from now on, it is absolutely incredible. I was hoping for something heavier on my eyes but trusted in the science that this product provided, which is that it is the perfect weight. I tie mine up in the back because I am a side sleeper and it stays beautifully, I am almost always asleep in no more than 15 minutes after putting this seemingly luxurious sleep mask on my tired eyes. I put a little bit of scented oils on it sometimes too, and that really has me feeling like I am on a spa retreat. As a nurse, getting good sleep is very important to me as I believe in practicing what I preach and am constantly emphasizing the importance of sleep to patients and I regularly recommend this to them for its luxurious comfort, ability to block light, and versatility as it is good for side sleepers, those sleepers that roll around, etc. I ended up buying more for my friends, who also love them. GET IT

So effective for soothing migraines. I keep mine in the freezer, and it knocks out headaches like a champ — I think it’s the combo of cold, light blocking and gentle weight. Nicely designed with the sections that mold to your face and the loop hole on the end of one strap, should you actually want to wrap it around your head (I never feel the need to…the weight of the mask helps it stay put). I ended up buying one for my mom and also plan to buy one for my daughter (all headache sufferers).

I only leave reviews for things that are exceptionally good or bad. And I had no plans to leave a review for this. But, six months later, here I am. I find I use it every day and I believe it helps me to fall asleep faster and sleep more soundly.I originally saw it on a Buzzfeed list and was intrigued. I am light sensitive - even with my eyes closed. I had tried other eye masks but the ones that go all of the way around the head usually have some sort of size adjustment mechanism that gets tangled in my hair and is a pain to get in and out of easily. And there were usually gaps around the edges that let in some light unless you get it just right and don't move.But the NodPod is soft fabric weighted with little pellets that flow into all of those gaps for complete darkness. I like that it can just rest on my head without being fastened all of the way around my head. If I need to get up, it comes off instantly by itself. It can, however, also be worn fastened around the head. There is a little hole in the fabric in one end that you can feed the cloth through on the other and - no mechanism to get tangled in my hair or irritate my scalp.There are 4 weighted segments. So if I sleep on my back, the ones next to my eyes cover my ears to also help to muffle sounds. If I sleep on my side, it still has the same effect. I just lay it over my head and the weights flow into the gaps and provide complete darkness and muffle sounds.I liked it so much I recently gifted one to my bestie and she loves it too. We smile at night knowing we are both enjoying our NodPods. I didn't expect it like it this much - but there you have it.
