BEST quality and well-made crate available - HIGHLY recommended
The MidWest brand is the ONLY brand kennel I purchase. Why? Because they consistently make a great product, and do it so well. This is a smaller model that I purchased for our newly adopted rescue dog, a Jack Russel/Chihuahua mix at 13 lbs. She fits perfect in the size I bought. I also have a Large and and XL crate, and they work well too. These crates are packaged well, SUPER EASY to set up, just as easy to take down and store. Do yourself a favor and save the boxes so that you can store the crate later - they last a long time, so trust me, you'll want to save the boxes!

Small dog cage
Very affordable! Very sturdy! No smell to the cage. Color and true size, fits a Pomeranian and other small dogs. Opens great and close correct. Easy to move around and folds easily to take on a trip!

Well Made
I purchased this crate as a back up to keep up my sister’s house where I visit with my pup often. It arrived on time. It was easy to assemble and it folds down and has a handle for carrying. For the price, I was very impressed with the quality. I have paid twice as much for other crates of the same quality. This is a great bargain! The size was perfect!

Using for bird feeding to keep out squirrels
Bought this crate to keep blackbirds, grackles, groundhogs, and the local squirrels from hogging the oilers and peanuts.Within 30 minutes the tufted titmice, chickadees, nuthatches, and various sparrow species had figured it out. They are busy flitting in and out grabbing the seeds and nuts. The bar spaces on this crate are perfect size for smaller birds. Eastern Bluebirds and Carolina Wrens are also able to enter the crate. The Blue Jays, Red-bellied Woodpeckers and Mourning Doves can't enter, but there's plenty for them at the other feeders. They are larger and can muscle in with the squirrels and blackbirds.Crate was super easy to set up. No tools required, anyone can do this. Just slide it out of the box and start lifting the panels. You'll see that the main sides fold up into a rectangle. The ends then are folded up and snapped into place. Door has top and bottom latches. More than adequate to prevent squirrels from figuring out how to open the crate door. And if they do, a wire or carabineer will secure it easily. It took longer to carry the packaged crate 100 feet to the patio than to set it up.Seems well built for our purpose. Cannot attest to dog, cat, bunny, etc pet use. We have an AC cover to keep the snow/ ice off the crate (we live in upper Great Lakes). We don't expect the crate to last forever as we are leaving it outside. It looks like it will still last several years outdoors, especially if we cover it.Curious raccoons may investigate so we'll be sure to empty the pan before dark. Fortunately, no Black Bears in our area. We really like that the pan is convenient to slide in and out and it is made of a resin material. Very sturdy. We are impressed so far with the crate. For the price, it's a good buy and helpful addition to our bird feeding hobby.

Not heavy gauge metal but a good cage overall
We bought the 54” cage for our 38lb dog. She has ample room to turn around and walk from one end to the other. It came with a slight flaw in the bottom portion which is the part under the tray-a small section was slightly bent but it is covered by the tray and does not affect use of the cage. It is not super heavy-duty construction and the tray is somewhat thin. I could see those things being an issue with a large heavy dog-our dog is not very big or heavy so it works for us. My husband assembled it by himself and said it was fairly easy to do. It is pretty easily slid around on our carpeted floor to move it. The latches are easy to maneuver and overall we are happy with the product. If I had a large dog , especially an active one that might lean against the cage or chew on things I would get a sturdier model.

Perfect for XL dog
Purchased for a German Shepherd, maybe 80+ pounds, about 11 months old. Very sturdy, easy to set up. Our puppy is very well behaved with it, but I wouldn't have any concerns about stability either way.

Works well
I have ordered this exact crate (size) twice now. The first time was for a stray chihuahua puppy. At 7 months, the X-SMALL is still plenty big enough and she will not need an upgrade.I recently purchased a 2nd one of the same size for my adult miniature pinscher. She's barely 7lbs full grown. She fits it fine, though it isn't as roomy as she would like. We went x-small because she was still peeing in her crate overnight. It's been a week and not a single accident. So there is definitely truth to the limiting space for potty training. The doors are a little stuff. But still functional. Worth the price. Easy to setup and clean. Sturdy. Would recommend to anyone.

Great and durable
Excellent quality, RIGHT size, comfortable. I have 2 medium sizes doggies (18 and 20 lbs) and 1 teacup dog (7 lbs). They fit perfectly and comfortably in the crate. Highly recommended.
