LEDMO 2X2FT Ceiling Frame Kit Aluminium Surface Mounting Bracket Kit for LED Panel Light, Drop Ceiling Light, Edge-Lit Light (White Drywall Flange Kit)

I've always built my own frames for these panels, thinking that the commercially available ones, always from China, would be shoddy quality. I decided to take a very small risk, and buy one to check it out.Absolutely nothing to complain about. It's well made, goes together easily, and looks good once installed.I did not use the screw plugs (nor screws) provided, as I felt the teeth in the plugs were a little too smooth, and would not grip the ceiling drywell well enough to give me piece of mind. I went to Home Depot and bought a small box of better quality plugs/screws, and used them.Don't get me wrong, there was nothing really wrong with the included hardware ... I'm just very cautious about mounting things on my ceilings that might fall down and hit an unsuspecting passer-by on the head!!!A very minor detail, and it still deserves five stars.

Excellent product and easy to install! I paid less than $33 for it and I was verry satisfaid.

Aside from the inconvenience of having to buy and separate fixture and lamp, this frame worked great. I recommend fully assembling it as a square, installing it in the ceiling, leave the ceiling mount screws just slightly loose in case it’s not fully squared when inserting the light.

I purchased this with a "Lithonia Lighting CPANL 2X2" panel and it will not work. The height of the sides of the light panel do not fit below the screws to allow all four side to connect. Since I mounted one part on the ceiling and drilled an additional hole to connect it to a ceiling joist I did not attempt to return this part.My recommendation is to test fit the four sides on any light panel with no screws to check for clearances before you assume this will work.Lithonia Lighting has an alternate mounting bracket that is less expensive but does not have the looks of this frame kit.

I used this to install a different brand's 2x2 led panel. worked great. sturdier than it appears, disassembling and reassembling while on a raised platform, I let parts hang and dangle and even had the open C shape with just 3 pieces, and didn't break anything despite flexing the heck out of the thing. Totally worth it.
