Key arrived a little sooner than expected so that was nice. On my key the chip had to be programed separately from the remote buttons. Had I read the packaging I would have realized that but I did not so I was a little upset when I first programed the chip and the buttons did not work. Once I got back to my office the next morning and read the packaging i realized there were two steps. I looked at the website provided and within 4 minutes the buttons were programed and both the key and the buttons were working perfectly. I was a little concerned that I had to have the key cut before I could program it but as there was no issue with the programing it was a non issue.

The key works as advertised once you get it programed right. That was the big nightmare. It does not come with any instructions, just a website to go to.After following their instructions which did not work, I tried multiple different ways I found on the web. still not working.A locksmith gave me the secret. HOOK UP THE FRONT SEAT BELTS. after doing this the tun on off 8 times in 10 seconds ending in RUN press button on first key within 20 seconds then press any button on the second key again within 20 seconds then turn off the ignition. Oh yes, you have to have the DOOR OPEN while you do this.

The key works great, however the instructions for my ford edge were completely wrong. All I had to do was get the key cut then put it in the ignition and turn it to the ON position 8 times quickly then the locks start locking and unlocking and you press and hold a button on the fob and it was programmed. Now it works great. Controls everything just like the original key fob.

Key was programmed and cut by the dealership and works great. The dealership was skeptical that a key ordered online would be compatible or able to be programmed, but they were wrong! A key from them would have cost me $200, and then the additional cost for programming. I saved $150 by doing it this way. Thank you key less 2 go!Also, very fast customer support when Amazon said the package was late, and then lost. Keyless2go was able to track the package and advise me it was delivered to the community mail box - and they were right .

I was about to return it as defective as it didn't work, then decided to check the battery and it was dead. Ordered a replacement battery and now it works. Frustrating that a brand new device came with a dead battery.
